A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT OF SECTION 2-
251 OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA CODE OF
ORDINANCES THAT INSPECTORS FOR THE GENERAL
MUNICII'AL ELECTION SCHEDULED MARCH 13, 2007,
(AND IF NECESSARY THE MUNCIPAL RUN-OFF ELECTION
MARCH 27, 2007), HAVE TO BE QUALIFIED VOTERS IN
THE VILLAGE BY ALLOWING THE INSPECTORS OF THE
ELECTION TO BE QUALIFIED VOTERS IN PALM BEACH
COUNTY FOR THE MARCH 2007 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 2-251 of the Village Code of Ordinances provides that
Council may designate by Resolution polling locations, election officials, and
inspectors of election, election procedures, and other incidentals required to conduct
elections in the Village far the General Municipal Election on March 13, 2007; and if
necessary a Municipal Run-offElection an March 27, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta has chosen to
waive the requirement of Section 2-251 that the inspectors of election shall be
qualified voters in the Village by allowing the inspectors of election to be qualified
voters in Palm Beach County for the March 2007 Elections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Council approval is hereby given to waive the requirement of Section 2-
251 that inspectors of election shall be qualified voters in the Village by allowing
inspectors of election to be qualified voters in Palm Beach County for the March
2007 Elections.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember
who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by
Councilmember ,and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as
follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted
this 11th day of January, A,D, 2007.
