HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_414_10/11/1990e... .~ "~ . ., ORDINANCE NO. 4-14 • AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO VIOLATE CERTAIN PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE VILLAGE; ESTABLISHING A FINE FOR VIOLATION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF • TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Parking Violations/Fines. It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any of the parking regulations referenced herein. The following shall constitute the fine for the violations listed below: (1) Overtime Parking $10.00 (2) Double Parking $10.00 (3) Parking in Fire Lane $10.00 (4) Parking in Loading Zone $10.00 (5) Parking in Wrong Direction $10.00 (6) Parking in Alley $10.00 (7) Parking in Prohibited Area $10.00 s s (8) Keys Left in Ignition in Parked Car $10.00 (9) Parking in Crosswalk $10.00 (10) Parkinq in Restricted Zone $10.00 (11) Parkinq Too Close to Fire Plug $10.00 (12) Parking Across Lines $10.00 (13) Parking Too Close to Intersection $10.00 (14) Obstructing Traffic Lane $10.00 (15) Parkinq too Close to Stop Sign $10.00 (16) Blocking Private Driveway $10.00 (17) Permit or Decal Violation $10.00 Fines shall be paid to the Village of Tequesta within forty- eight (48) hours of the time and date of issuance of the parking ticket. 1 .. Section 2. Other Parking Violations. All other parking violations shall be as prescribed by the appropriate Florida State Statute or other ordinance relating thereto. Section 3. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared severable. • Section 4. Repeal of Ordinances in Conflict. All other ordinances of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, or parts thereof which conflict with this or any part of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5. Codification. This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of the official Code of Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta. Section 6. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval, as provided by law. THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember Earl I~. Collings , who moved its adoption.
