HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_423_05/16/1991ORDINANCE NO. 4^'3 • t AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, CHANGING THE NAME OF THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDINC~ FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.07 of Article III of the Charter of the Village of Tequesta, there shall be separate departments as established by the Village Council by Ordinance upon recommendation of tine Village Manager; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended changing the name of t',ie Building Department to the Department of Community Develo~~ment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE O' TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1, There is hereby created a Department of Community Devel;~pment therein incorporating all functions of the Building De=j-_~rtment. Section 2. The Department of Community Development shall be subjec~;t to the general :supervision and control by the Village Manager. Section 3. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application the~.•eof is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provision: or applications of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or ;applications, and to this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared severable. Section 4. Repeal of Ordinances in Conflict. All other Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, or parts thereof which conflict with this or any part of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section ~.. Codification. 'his Ordinance shall be codified and wade a part of the C~ificial Code of Ordinances of the Village cif Tequesta. Section 6.
