• AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA BY PROVIDING
FOR CHAPTER 14, "LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS";
PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION, PURPOSE AND TITLE; PROVIDING
FOR INCLUSION OF CERTAIN EXISTING VILLAGE AND COUNTY
CODES AND REGULATIONS BY REFERENCE HEREIN; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Village Council of the Village of
Tequesta, Florida as follows:
Section 1. Adogtion. Chapter 14 is hereby
established and the "Land Development Regulations" of the
Village of Tequesta, Palm Beach County, Florida, are hereby
adopted.
Section 2. Purpose. In keeping with the intent of
the State of Florida, Growth Management Act requirements, the
Village Council of the Village of Tequesta deems it appropriate
to create and provide for, in one set of documents, all
existing, proposed, and future codes, regulations and
ordinances that regulate, subdivide or affect all land within
the Village of Tequesta.
Section 3. Short Title. This ordinance and the set
of codes and regulations it creates shall be knows as the "Land
Development Regulations of the Village of Tequesta".
Section 4. Inclusion of Codes, Regulations ar~d
Ordinances. By establisriing Chapter 14, "Land Development
Regulations", within the Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Tequesta, it is the intent to include existing, as well as,
proposed and future Village codes, regulations and ordinances,
and certain County codes, regulations and ordinances by
reference, within the "Land Development Regulations" of tree
Village of Tequesta.
Section 5. Severability. If any provision of triis
Ordinance or the application thereof is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect the other provisi~~ns or
applications of triis Ordinance which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this
end, the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared
severable.
Section 6. Codification. This Ordinance shall be
codified and made a part of the official Code of Ordinances of
the Village of Tequesta.
Section 7. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect immediately ugon its passage and approval, as provided
by law.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by
Councilmember Ron T. Mackail who moved its
adoption. The Ordinance was seconded by
Councilmember _ Earl L. Collings and upon being
gut to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly passed
and adopted this 10th day of May 1990.
