COUZZO, VILLAGE MANAGER FROM: RUSSELL K. WHITE, PUBLIC SERVICES MANAGER %~~~=-~G~;~' SUBJECT: TERRACON MAINTENANCE DATE: OCTOBER 20, 2008 Attached, please find an agenda item for the above subject. I am recommending that we renew this agreement with Terracon Services Inc., of Jupiter. The total cost is $27,477.89. The cost is shared between the General Fund Public Works Department, the Storm Water Fund and the Town of Jupiter. The General Fund Public Works Department is responsible for $14,074.94 of the contract for the maintenance of Country Club Drive and Seabrook Road and the Storm Water Fund and the Town of Jupiter are responsible for $13,402.95 of the contract for the maintenance of Dover ditch and the Russell Street retention area. The Town of Jupiter reimburses the Village for 40 % of the cost of maintaining Dover ditch. This amount has not increased over the past few years and Terracon continues to provide an excellent service to the Village. I am recommending we continue with this service. RESOLUTION NO 46-08 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, RENEWING AN AGREEMENT FOR 11 MONTHS FROM TERRACON SERVICES INC., OF JUPITER FLORIDA, FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF DOVER DITCH & RUSSELL ST. RETENTION AREA IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,402.95 AND FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF COUNTRY CLUB DR. AND SEABROOK RD. IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,074.94, AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. WHEREAS, The Village of Tequesta seeks to renew a agreement with Terracon Services Inc., of Jupiter Florida to maintain the Country Club Drive area, Seabrook Road area, the Dover Ditch, and Russell Street retention area WHEREAS, The Village has approved the funding in the FY 08/09 budget. WHEREAS, The Town of Jupiter reimburses the Village for 40 % of the cost of the maintenance for Dover Ditch ($446.00 monthly or $4,906.00 in total for this contract). WHEREAS, The work will not start until approval from Village Council.
