A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, TEMPORARILY SUPPLEMENTING SECTION 2-
251 OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA CODE OF
ORDINANCES THAT POLLWORKERS /ELECTION BOARD
FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION
SCHEDULED MARCH 13, 2007, (AND IF NECESSARY THE
MUNCIPAL AND SPECIAL RUN-OFF ELECTION MARCH 27,
2007), HAVE TO BE QUALIFIED VOTERS IN THE VILLAGE.
IN THE UNIQUE SITUATION WHERE THERE ARE
INSUFFICIENT NUMBERS OF QUALIFIED ELECTION
INSPECTORS WITHIN THE VILLAGE, AND THAT IT IS AN
ADMINISTRATIVE MATTER FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONDUCTING EFFICIENT ELECTIONS, TEMPORARILY
ALLOW THE POLLWORKERS /ELECTION BOARD TO BE
QUALIFIED VOTERS IN PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR THE
MARCH 2007 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 2-251 of the Village Code of Ordinances provides that
Council may designate by Resolution polling locations, election officials, and
inspectors of election, election procedures, and other incidentals required to conduct
elections in the Village for the General Municipal Election on March 13, 2007; and if
necessary a Municipal Run-off Election on March 27, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta has chosen to
temporarily supplement the requirement of Section 2-251 that the Poll workers /
Election Board. shall be qualified voters in the Village by allowing the Poll workers /
Election Board to be qualified voters in Palm Beach County for the March 2007
Elections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Council approval is hereby given to temporarily supplement the
requirement of Section 2-251 that inspectors of election shall be qualified voters in
the Village by allowing Poll workers /Election Board to be qualified voters in Palm
Beach County for the March 2007 Elections.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Council Member Genco
who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Council Member Watkins,
and being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 11 day of
January, A.D., 2007.
