HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_02/13/1976 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA February 13, 1976 A Special Council meeting of the Village of Tequesta was held on Friday, February 13, 1976 at 1:07 P.M., in the Village Hall. Present were Little, Jones, Campbell, Baron and Yoder. Also present were, Robert Harp, Village Manager, Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk. Wm. Sydow Mr. William Sydow, Gee & Jenson, was present and read a letter addressed to Council dated February 12, 1976. The letter consisted of four (4) possible methods of water restriction which should be considered by Council. There was discussion on reduction in water pressure and if there would be enough time to open the values if case of a fire. Mr. Worth, Water Department Superintendent, said the reponse time would be immediately. After some discussion Campbell moved, "that we adopt the voluntary restriction suggestion". The motion • was adopted. Campbell moved, "until further information is received that we do not reduce the water pressure as per point two (2}". The motion was adopted. Campbell moved, "that the restriction of the days which irrigation can be done be formulated into a plan at this time for enforcement if necessary". Vote on the motion was: Little -For Jones -Against Campbell -For Baron -Against Yoder -For and was therefore adopted. Yoder moved, "that we discuss also meeting and resolve the possibility of for excess water consumption".
