April 21, 1976 meeting of the Village of Tequesta April 21, 1976 at 9:00 A.M. in the were Baron, Brown, Campbell, Huggins were Robert Harp, Village Manager, Clerk and John C. Randolph, Village Mr. Harold Eckes, Utilities Consultant for Martin County, told Council that Martin County would like a refund of $9,000 a pear for each pear the Village of Tequesta has serviced Martin County for the surcharge. Brown moved, "that we continue surcharge negotiations through the mediation committee". The motion was adopted. Mr. William B. Sydow, Gee & Jenson Engineers, reviewed his letter of April 20, 1976 to Council. Mr. Howard Osterman, Tri--Southern, told Council Tri-Southern will be ready to supply a constant amount of water, but at the same time the Village of Tequesta may need four (k) million gallons instead of two (2) million and that is why the Village needs a storage tank. Mr. Osterman told Council that Tri-Southern could supply to the Village a maximum of three (3) million g.p.d. Brown suggested that the Mid-Western route would be a good route to use for the water main crossing to Tri-Southern. Brown moved, "that the Village Council and its technical advisors proceed in the direction of negotiations and technical studies, to obtain treated water on a contractual basis from Tri-Southern Utilities over the Mid-Western route and further that William B. Sydow be chairman of these negotiations". The motion was adopted. The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 A.M.
