HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_06/24/1975 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA June 24, 1975 A Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, June 24, 1975 at 7:00 P.M., in the Village Hall. Present were Little, Jones,Yoder and Baron. Campbell had advised she would be on vacation at the time of this meeting. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Manager, Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk and John C. Randolph, Village Attorney. Vice-Mayor Jones chaired the meeting because, Mayor Little was a member of the North County First Aid Squad, Inc. and Mrs. Midge Little is the Vice-President of the Squad. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to consider. an application of the North County First Aid Squad,-Inc. for a special exception to the terms of Ordinance. No. 211, the Official Zoning Ordinance of the'Village of Tequesta, Section 132, to allow the construction of a radio antenna tower extending sixty feet (60') above the roof of their ~ building located at 395 Seabrook-Road, Tequesta, Florida. The Zoning Ordinance restricts the hei ghts of such structures to a maximum of forty feet t40' ) from the ground in-the C-1 Retail Commercial District where the construction is proposed to be made. The Village Manager read the "Notice of Public Hearing" as advertised in .the Beacon newspaper on June 5, 1975. Yoder moved, "that the application be accepted." It was then open for discussion. Since no one was present. that represented the North County .First Aid Squad, Inc. Baron moved, "that we recess for five ( 5 ) minutes" . The meeting was recessed at 7:10 P.M, for five (5) minutes, to give Mr. William V. Smallwood, President of the Squad, time to be present. At 7:15 P.M, the meeting was called into session. Baron-asked if it would interfere with radio and T.V, reception, Mr. Smallwood, replied "no". Serveral questions were asked of Mr. Smallwood. After some discussion vote on the motion was: Jones -For Baron -For Yoder -For and was therefore adopted. The meeting was adjourned at 7:22 P.M. ! C re s~l e y b rt -6$-
