HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_07/22/1975 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FL~tIDA July 22, 1975 A Public Hearing of the Village of Tequesta was held on Tuesday, July 22, 1975 at 7:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. Present were Little, Jones, Campbell, Baron and Yoder. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Manager, Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk and John C. Randolph, Village Attorney. The Village Manager read the 'YNotice of Public Hearing", to consider the amendment of Article XIII, Section 13.1 of Ordinance No. 211, the Official Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, to provide that Public Utility structures and buildings, such as se~nrage disposal works, water pumping plants, electrical sub-stations and Police and Fire Stations and any other use normally appurtenant thereto be permitted use and structure in the C-1 Retail Commercial District. Also to consider the amendment of Article XIV, • Section 14.1 of Ordinance No. 211, the Official Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, to provide that Public Utility structures and buildings such as sewage disposal works, water pumping plants, electrical sub-stations and Police and Fire Stations and any other use normally appurtenant thereto be permitted use and structure in the C-2 wholesale Commercial and light industrial district. The Village Manager explained that the site where the -;proposed water plant is going to be has no proviso in the Official Zoning Ordinance for the C-2 Wholesale Commercial and light industrial district for special exce~~tion or permitted use for public utility structures and buildings, such as sewage disposal worksw water pumping plants, electrical sub-stations and Police and Fire~Stations. The Village Attorney advised that he had prepared an Ordinance providing that such uses would be Special Exception us4s, with each application to be considered at a Public Hearing by the Village Council in the C-1 Retail-Commercial District and as a permitted use in the C-2 Wholesale Commercial and light -74- 7-22-75 -2 Workshop industrial district. He further stated that perhaps the use. should be special exceptions uses in both Districts.. All members of the Council generally concurred that the uses should be special exception uses in the C-1 and C-2 Commercial Districts and the Village Attorney was directed to prepare an Ordinance prodding for amendment of the pertinent sections of the Official Village Zoning Ordinance No. 211 to provide for this.
