HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Regular_01/14/1975~' MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA January 14, 1975 The first Council Meeting for the month of January was held Tuesday, January 14, 1975 at 7:30 P.M., in the Village Hall. Present were Little, Jones, Leone, Campbell and Taylor. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Manager and John Randolph, Village Attorney. The meeting was opened with Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag by Councilman Taylor. This was the first fifteen minutes Council Meeting with a workshop to follow for the year; Taylor moved "the Council Meeting adjourn at 7:45 P.M., to comply with the fifteen minute Council Meeting", the motion was adapted. The Village Attorney gave second reading by title only of an Ordinance regulating the -erection, construction, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of buildings or structures in the Village of Te~uesta, Florida; r.,roviding f.or the issuance of permits therefore; declaring and establishing a fire district; ~~rnviding penalties for the violations thereof, and repealing all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict therewith. Leone moved, to approve the second reading of the Ordinance" after being seconded the vote on the moticin was: Taylor -For Campbell -For Jones -For .Little -For Leone -For the motion was therefore approved. First reading having been approved on November 26, 1974, Ordinance No. 224 was therefore passed and adopted. The Village Manager gave second reading by title only of an Ordinance-amending Resolution No. 6-72-73 to provide far the granting of permits to allow the drilling of shallow irrigation wells within the Village of Tequesta, for a11. properties located within the Peninsula area between the North Fork and the Northwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River. Leone moved to approve the second reading of the Ordinance, after being seconded the vote on the motion was: Taylor -For Campbell -For Jones -For Little -For Leone -For -20- 1-14-75 -2 the motion was therefore approved. First reading being approved on November 12, 174, Ordinance No. 225 therefore passed and adopted. The Village Attorney gave first reading of an Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, Florida adopting the State Election; Laws for conducting Municipal Elections, as provided in Section 104.45, Florida Statutes, 1973. Campbell moved the first reading of the Ordinance be approved. Vote on the mcition was: Taylor -For Campbell -For Jones -For Little -For Leone -For the motion was therefore adopted. The Village Attorney gave first of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, of Chapter 101, Florida Statutes, 19 voting as provided in section 101.70 Campbell moved "the first reading of Vote on the motion was: reading of an Ordinance adopting those portions ~3, pertaining to absentee Florida Statutes, 1973. the Ordinance be approved. Taylor -For • Campbell -For Jones -For Little -For Leone -For the motion was therefore adopted. The .Village Attorney gave first reading of a Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Village Clerk to evaluate and execute deed to Palrn Beach Cable Television Company for their franchise on the fifteen (15) acres of land which is Village Well Field No. 4. Leone moved "the Resolution be passed and adopted on first reading. Vote on the motion was: Taylor -For Campbell -For' Jones -For Little -For Leone -For ~'~ the motion-was therefore adopted. Mr. Harp gave first reading of a Resolution providing for the Cleaning and/or Clearing of lots pursuant to Ordinance No.196. Campbell moved "the first reading of the Resolution be approved.
