(see attached) • -27- REQUEST FOR IMPROVED TRAFFIC CONTROL ON COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE + `,Ne, the undersigned residents of the Village of Tequesta, are concerned about the dangerous traffic situation ex- isting on Country Club Drive, west of the entrance to Tur- tle Creek. Although the reduction in speed limit to 30 mph, the painting of no-passing lines, and increased pa- troling south of the Country Club have improved previous conditions, we request that additional action be taken to minimize the possibility of serious injury to ourselves and our children. Passing regularly occurs along the street, and a large number of vehicles exceed 50 mph in this area. These high- speed violations occur at all times of the day and night, and are committed by both residential and transitory ve- hicles. We respectfully request that the Village Council consider appropriate action, including, but not limited to, the following: 1. Increased police patrol 2. Speed traps 3. Installation of 30 mph speed bumps 4•. Warning signs 5. Allowing residents to time speeding vehicles and report violations to the Village police, and the • issuing of warnings on that basis.
