I would appreciate it if the zoning board would consider my following comments: I am OPPOSED to the re-zoning of the former ROOD ENVIRONMENT property on County Line Road to medium density residential. All the adjacent properties to this tract, including my very own community of Riverside Oaks, are single family homes. Allowing the development of medium density structures such as townhomes, would be an out-of--place eye-sore within our Village of Tequesta. These structures are best-kept in the areas of our Village where such commercial-appearing structures are already developed, and NOT in the quiet, single family residential area proposed! Sorr>e of you have met me in the past at our HOA meeting when: we honored Village of Tequesta police for their excellent service apprehending two burglary suspects in our Riverside Oaks community October 9~' 2007, f have served on the Riverside Oaks HOA Board of Directors for the past four years. Yesterday I learned of the Village of Tequesta's plan to annex the property on County Line Road, fom~eriy Rood Landscaping property. I believe that the annexatron of this property is valuable for the Vilaage of Tequesta, and i also join the more than 160 residents of the Riverside Oaks community who steadfastly oppose any "spot zoning change of that property from single family residential to medium density residential. Unfortunately, I will be traveling to Washington DC and will not be able to attend your Counci meeting on Thursday December 11, 2008. i am formerly and respectfully requesting that each of the elected Village Counci Members respond to our residerrts as to their voting position on this spot zoning concept, prior to any vote. I also would appreciate knowing the Village Managers position on this issue. As a united community we intend to meet with the Board of Directors for the Tequesta Pines community, and the Country Club Community to discuss this idea of "spay zoning changes as I am sure those communities will be interested in teaming of this plan as well. For now, I urge each voting member of our Village Council to vote no for medium density zoning of that parcel. Single family residential zoning surrounds that properly on ail sides, and any change of that zoning will create an "istand° (spot zone) that does not fit the community. This property should remain as low density zoning.
