HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_09/10/1974MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING ©F THE COUNCIL ©F THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA SEPTEh®ER 14, 1974 A Public Hearing was held at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 10, 1974 in the Administrative Office Lobby in the Village Hall. Councilmembers present were: Little, Jones, Leone, Campbell and Taylor. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Manager and Mr. John C. Randolph, Village Attorney. The Village Manager advised that the Public Hearing, had been advertised in the August 22, 1974 issue of the Beacon News. The Hearing was on a proposed ordinance to make the Village eligible for Federal Flood Insurance. Mayor Little asked if this was a legal hearing since it was not being held in the regular meeting hall and was advised by the Village Attorney that it was. There was sow question as to the applicability of the proposed revision of Section 7, Article XIX, Zoning Ordinance No. 211 as to whether or not the restoration of a building destroyed over 50~ of its assessed value would have to raeeet the requirements of the i proposed Section 7 revision and new Article XXV. The Village Manager thought it would, the Village Attorney did not think it was necessarily applicable and Mr. Paul Philips, Courier reporter said he did not think it did. The Village Attox~c~ey said these remarks would not affect the content of the ordinance to be adopted.
