notice was published in the December 14, 1973 issue of the Pa]m
Beach Post and had been posted.. Proof of publication had been
received.
Mayor Russell stated the Hearing was being held to consider
amendment of the sections of Ordinance No. 211 as stated in the
legal notice to provide that charitable or non-profit organizations,
such as Kiwanis Club, Girl Scouts, etc. could conduct temporary
business outdoors. The CouneiLner~ were reminded the Village

cation for a permit subject to certain criteria.
Mrs. Charles M. Love stated she had written a letter to
the Mayor and Councilmen requesting permission for the Jupiter
Neighborhood of the Palm Glades Girl Scout Council to sell Girl
Scout Cookies in designated areas in the co~nercial areas of the
Village January 24 through February 4, 1974.
Captain W. D: Coleman stated he thought this would be
too much red tape for such organizations to obtain a permit.
General Thomas C. Darcy, a member of the original Zoning Review
Cosmittee, said he believed the revision was needed for Ordinance
No. 211 but Ordinance No. lll - Solicitation Ordinance, should be
reviewed.
