HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_03/05/1973MINUTES OF TAE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCILMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FIARIDA A Special Meeting of the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta, Florida was held at 7:30 P.M., March 5, 1973 at the Village Hall, Counci]men present were Messrs: Russell, Cunningham, Little, Frank and Leone. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Manager and Clerk and Christopher H. Cook, Village Attorney, Mayor Russell advised that the special meeting had been called for the purpose of continuing the review of the proposed new zoning ordinance and hopefully to complete this first review tonight. Mayor Russell advised that the Tequesta Association of Voters is going to be in charge of the public meeting at 7:30 P.M., Monday, March 12, 1973 in the Village Hall to have the candidates-for the March 20, 1973 General Election appear before the electors, The Village Manager is to see about a complaint of parking on the Village pathway in front of Tequesta Hardware and to work out arrange- ments with the North County First Aid Squad, Inc. to park their vehicles at the Village Hall until their building is completed and ready for occupancy. Discussion proceeded with the review of the proposed new • zoning ordinance with Mr. Corddry reviewing some of the items c©vered at the last meeting. Mr. George Harper of Kimley-Horn and Associates, who assisted the Zoning Goe6nittee, was introduced to the meeting. The Village Attorney reviewed some of his previous comments pertaining to a Village Zoning Commission and use of the comprehensive plan. Upon completion of the page by page review, Mr. Corddry asl~ed the Village Attorney to include language in the ordinance to make the terms of the ordinance prevail if in conflict with any other ordinances. Mayor Russell asked the Village Attorney for a tentative time table for continuing the work on the ordinance. Mr. Cook estimated he could complete a new draft except the Planned Development section in about three weeks and approximately an additional three weeks for drafting the Planned Development section, with a target date for drafting completion as the second Council meeting in April 1973.
