HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_06/23/1972MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE COUNCILMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA A Special Meeting of the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, was held at 8:30 P.M., Friday, June 23, 1972 at the Village Hall, Councilmen present were Messrs: Russell, Barr, Cunningham, Little and Frank. Also present were Robert Harp, Yillage Manager, Christopher H. Cook, Yillage Attorney and W. C. Goss, Fiscal Agent. Mayor Russell explained that the Special Meeting had been scheduled during the June 20, 19?2 Council Meeting for the purpose of approving the issuance of revenue bonds for the acquisition of Plantreat, Inc. from the estate of William E. Schlusemeyer. The Village Attorney and Village Clerk then read a 13 page Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Authorizing the Construction, Equipping and. Furnishing of a Village Hall in the Village of Tequesta, Florida; Authorizing the Issuance of $148,000. Excise Tax Revenue Bonds to be Payable from the Cigarette Taxes, Franchise Taxes and Utilities Service Taxes Collected in said Village, and Providing for the Rights of the Holders of Such Bonds", and Providing for the Issuance of $73,362.50 Excise Tax Revenue Bonds, Series 1972, • Cunningham moved, seconded by Barr, that the reading of the Ordinance be approved. The vote on the motion was: Barr - For Frank - For Cunningham - For Little - For Russell - For All Councilmen being present and. voting for the approval of the reading of the Ordinance, Ordinance No. 200 ~,*as hereby passed and adopted on First Reading.
