HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_04/20/1971MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE COUNCILMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA A Public Hearing was held by the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta, Florida at 7:45 P.M., Tuesday, April 20, 1971 at the Village Hall. Councilmen present were: Messrs. Sylvester, Cunningham, Russell and Little. Also present was Jean Frank, Assistant Village Clerk. Mayor Sylvester turned the gavel over to Councilman Russell and asked him to be Chairman of the Hearing because he was owner of the property to be zoned. Chairman Russell advised the Hearing that the Hearing was being held to determine a zoning classification for Lot 12, Block 3, Riverside on the Loxahatchee, owned by Robert E, and Muriel W. Sylvester, which had been annexed to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta by Ordinance No. 182 in January 1971. He further advised that notice of the Public Hearing had been published in the Beacon News April 1, 1971 and letters advising of the Hearing had been sent to the owners of all property in the Village whose property is located within 500 . feet of the subject property. The Hearing was advised that there was a single family residence on the property and that the size of the lot conforms to the Villages R-lA Single Family Dwelling District. Cunningham moved, seconded by Little that Lot 12, Block 3, Riverside on the Loxahatchee be zoned R-lA Single Family Dwelling District and the zoning map be amended accordingly. The vote on the motion was: Cunningham - For Little - For Russell - For and was therefore passed unanimously. The Hearing was adjourned at 7:48 P.M.
