HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_10/31/1969MII+iUTLS OF ?:~ SrE~:A~ N~ETINC OF THE COUNCILMEN OF TH VILI,E;G~~ OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA A special meeting of the Councilren of the Village cf Tequesta, Florida, was held at 7:30 P.M., Friday, October 3i, 1969, at the Village Hau. Councilmen present were: rdessrs: Sylvester, Bowden, Cunningham, Sir~eaons and Long. Also present were ~iobert Harp, Village Manager and Clerk and 4Jilliam A. Lord, Village Attorney. Attorney Lord discussed the Em;~loyee Pension Trust Agreement, which designated 'the Atlantic National Bank of ~dest Palm Beach, as Trustee. He stated the agreement had been approved by the concerned parties, and that each Councilman had received a copy of same at the October 21st Council rieeting. Upon motion by Cunningham, second by Simmons and unar..i.mously passed, the Pension Trust Agreer~tent was approved. Cunningham movo~d, second by Eo~,~den and unanimously passed, that the required amount of funds for the auxiliary fund account be paid to the trustee of the pension fund ~ti~hen reques~;ed. The amount is approxi- mately $4,~OO.OU An ordinance was read by the Village Attorney which amends Ordinance No. 75 of the Village to define a clarific~~.tion of the definition of service station or filling station. rollo~t:ring the reading, it was amended to read, "involved, in servicing motor vehicles on the premises, in the sale of". Cunningham moved, seconc by Lo~.~den and unanimously passed that the reading of the ordin<~znce as amended, be approved. All Councilmen • being present and voting for the ordinance, Ordinance No.-156 ~,'as hereby passed and adopted on first reading. Attorney Lord read an ordinance providing for the annexation of the ten (lp) acres of the well field site on Old Dixie Highway owned by Palm Beach Cable Television Company ~.nd five (5) acres of the well field site o~~.med by the Village to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta. Bo~,rden moved, secondby Cunningham and unanimously passed that the reading of the ordinance be approved. All Counci]tuen being present and approving the ordinance, Ordinance No. 157, was hereby passers and adopted on first reading. The Village Attorney reminded the Council that the property t:~as now temporarily zoned R-1 classification and pur- suant to the purchase and sales agrec:r~ent, it has to be zoned for cable television head end usage and the zoning should be expedited. The Councilmen set 7:30 P.pi., Tuesday, Pdover:.ber 25, 1969, as the time for a Public Hearing tc deten.iine a zoning c]~zssificatien for the property. The Councilmen also agreed to hold a Special P~~eetingan~mediately following the Public Hearing to read the ordinance providing for the necessary zoning classification of the property. Attorney Lord stated the ~'alia beach Cable Television Cor.-pany ~,ras anxious to cor~rnence work at the site and suggested the Village cooperate in any way they could.
