THE COUI~ICILT~~N OF THE VILLAGE OF TE(-),iTESTA, FLOI'cIJA
• A Public Hearing vacs held by the Councilmen of the
Village of Tequesta, Florida, at 7:30 P.Tf. ^luesday, January 13,
1970, at the Village Ha11. Councilmen present were:
Messrs. Sylvester, Eowden, Cunningham, Long and Simmons. Also
present wore Robert Harp, Village Clerk and Manager and
ti~lilliam A. Lord, Village Attorney.
~Tayor Sylvester read the published notice of the
hearing advising that it was a continuance of a hearing held
October 21, 1969, to further consider a zoning classification
for a parcel of land approximately 130 feet wide, running north
to south, lying in Lot 197, Gomez Grant and Jupiter Island,
lying west of State Road P1o. 707 and being adjacent to Jupiter
Island Apartments on the south sid~. The property is owned
by S. S, ~; R., Incorporated.
Amadeo A. T~~eitin, Attorney for the owners of the
property, requesting an R-3 zoning classification for the
pro-perty, the same classification as other areas of the
Village on Jupiter Island. He further stated that State
Road No. 707 was a natural buffer zone and that R-3 would be
the best land use.
Nlr. Hutchinson, a resident of Island House T~TOrtheast
• Condominium Apartments, spoke briefly of the pz•oblem facing the
Council in the future development of the island since part was
in the Village and a part in the County.
Cunningham moved, second by Simmons that the subject
parcel of .and be given an P~-3 zoning classification. PJ:ayor
