HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Board of Adjustment_03/20/1970MIPdUTES OF TIIL PUBLIC iING OF TIME ZONING BOAPD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE VILLAGE OF TI;QUESTA, FLOI:IDA A Public Hearing was held by the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Village of Tequesta at 8:00 ~'.M., Friday, March 20, 1970, at the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Board members pre- sent were: Me,~srs. Good, Gifford and Webster. Mr.Vierck had reported he would be unable to attend because of illness and Mr. Shiplett had reported he was unable to attend. Mr. Good acted as Cha.irraa,n of the Hearing, The Clerk read the Notice of Hearing and advised it had been duly published in the Beacon News and all property owners with 500 feet had been sent letters advising of the Hearing. The Hearing was advised that Sam J. Pettyjohn, owner of Lot No. X33, Tequesta, had sent a letter datQd March 18, 1970, in oppo- sition to the requested vari.a,rce. Pdo other comments, either written or ver'oa.l, had been received on thQ subject. ~l~_zabeth Wai~em~a,n =lenderson, owner of Lot No, 20, Tequesta, stated the request for the variance was made necessary so she could construct a storage addition. onto t~ge front of her garage. A plat plan of the lot with the existing residence and proposed additions was loolced at by the Board and the sip: feet (6~) by seventeen feet (17') addition was shoran to encroach in the northwest corner approximately one foot (1') into the required ten feet (10') side yard set back and the northeast corner to encroach approximately two feet (2') into the required twenty-five feet (25') front yard set back, with most of the proposed construction to be within the rQqui.red front and side yard set backs as required by the Village Coning Ordinance. The Board members discussed the request for variance further and Gifford moved, second by Webster that Elizabeth Wakeman Henderson, owner of Lot A?o. 20, Tcauesta, be granted the variance as requested to construct a storage addition onto the front of her residence with the northwest corner of said addition being approximately nine feet (9') from the side lot line and the northeast corner of said addition being appr~.tely twenty-three feet (23') from the front street line.
