A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH
COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE
OF A 4000 GALLON FUEL TANK FROM GLASGOW
EQUIPMENT SERVICE, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF
555,186. THIS PURCHASE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT IS PART OF THE VILLAGE'S
HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM. COST
TO BE FUNDED BY THE EXISTING HURRICANE
WILMA RESERVE CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT #11(11-

WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta realized the critical need for the availability
of fuel following Hurricane Wilma; and
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has directed staff to implement a Hurricane
Preparedness Program; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for insuring the
Village's fuel supply during states of emergency; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a 4000 gallon above ground storage tank will
provide for that availability, split 3000 gallons of gasoline and 1000 gallons of diesel
fuel; and
WHEREAS, Glasgow Equipment Service, Inc. installed the existing diesel
storage tank at Tequesta Fire Rescue; and
WHEREAS, the price is based on School District Palm Beach County #
04C009N; and
WHEREAS, the cost of $55,186 can be funded by the existing Hurricane Wilma
Reserve Contingency Account #001-990-599.902 appropriated by Village Council
Resolution #25-05/06 on November 17, 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta,
Palm Beach County, Florida, as follows:
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Watkins, who
moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember Paterno, and upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

Geraldine Genco
Tom Paterno
The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution
