A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROVIDE A LETTER
OF COMMITMENT TO PALM BEACH COUNTY AGREEING THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA WILL COVER ADDITIONAL COSTS
RELATED TO THE PROJECT NOT TO EXCEED A 20$
CONTINGENCY; APPROPRIATING UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE
IN GENERAL FUND #001, INCREASING THE 2005/2006
GENERAL FUND BUDGET BY $80,503.00 AND AUTHORIZING
THE TRANSFER-OUT OF THESE FUNDS TO THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND #303 TO FUND THE COST OF THE FEC
BEAUTIFICATION AND TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta has a remaining budget
of $252,122.55 in the 2005-2006 budget and the cost to
complete the project is $277,179.50.and;
WHEREAS, Palm Beach County has requested the Village of
Tequesta agree to fund additional costs related to
additional costs related to the project not to exceed a
20~ contingency, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta agrees to fund such
additional costs, and
WHEREAS, these additional costs were not budgeted in the
2005/2006 Budget, and
WHEREAS, there are no excess funds available in the
Capital Projects Fund #303, requiring a transfer of
funds from General Fund #001 to the Capital Projects
Fund #303 to fund such additional costs, and
WHEREAS, this will require appropriating $80,503.00 from
Fund Balance in General Fund #001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Village Council of the Village of
Tequesta, Palm Beach County, Florida, authorizes a
letter be sent to Palm Beach County agreeing that the
Village of Tequesta mill cover additional costs related
to the FEC Project not to exceed a 20~ contingency;
appropriating unreserved Fund Balance in General Fund
#001, increasing the 2005J2006 General Fund Budget by
$80,503.00 and authorizing the transfer-out of these
funds to the Capital Projects Fund #303 to fund the
cost of the FEC beautification and traffic
signalization project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember
Watkins, who moved its adoption. The motion was
seconded by Councilmember Genco, and upon being put to
a vote, the vote was as follows:

Pat Watkins
The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed
and adopted this 17th day of July, A. D., 2006.
