HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_95-05/06_07/17/2006RESOLUTION NO. 95-05/06 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROPRIATING UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN GENERAL FUND #001, INCREASING THE 2005/2006 POLICE PATROL BUDGET, ACCOUNT # 001-175-522.102, `VOT PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS', BY $26,430.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROCEED ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. WHEREAS, Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Company, Consultants & Actuaries for the Village of Tequesta's Public Safety Pension Trust informed the Village of Tequesta that the required contribution for Police Officers had increased 3.95 (from 7.558 to 11.500 , and; WHEREAS, the 3.95 difference amounts to $26,430.00, and; WHEREAS, these funds were not budgeted, and; WHEREAS, this will require appropriating $26,430.00 from Fund Balance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACB COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: A Resolution increasing the budgeted amount in Account # 001-175-522.102, `VOT Pension Contributions' for Budget Year 2005/2006 by $26,430.00, appropriating Fund Balance for that amount, and authorizing the Village Manager to proceed on behalf of the Village. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Council Member Genco, who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Council Member Watkins, and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Jim Humpage Tom Paterno Geraldine A.
