THE COUNCIId~T OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
A Public Hearing was held by the Councilmen of the Village
of Tequesta, Florida at 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 21, 196? at the
Village Hall. Councilmen present were: Messrs. Bowden, Sylvester and
Valier. .Also present was Robert Harp, Clerk.
Mayor Bowden advised the Hearing that it had been scheduled
to consider the application of Chas. H. Crim, Trustee fora Ehange in
zoning c]assification from R-i Single Family Dwelling to C-2 Wholesale
Commercial and Light Industrial District.
The Clerk advised that the Hearing had lien legallp adver-
tised oa October 26, 1967 in the Beacon News and all property owners
in the Pillage of Tequesta whose property was within 500 feet of the sub-
ject parcel of land were advised of the Hearing by letter.
The Hearing was advised the subject property was located along
Old Dixie Highway east of the 14a.ule Concrete Plant.
?he Clerk advised that no written or verbal objections to the
application had been received prior to the Hearing.
Mr. Webb Painter explained that such zoning in this location
was necessary for the sa le of this property since it does run along the
railroad. Ne explained that they believed they had a buper-for a S acre
tract with an option to purchase an additional 5 acre tract for use as
a nursery. He stated they brad inquiries concerning sma~.l, clean elec-
tronic plants for this area.
Father Hostler of St. Jules Catholic Church was in atten~.a.nce
at the Hearing at the request of his diocese to find aut about the appls-
cation.
There were no objections to the application from the floor
of the Hearing.
Valier moved, second by Sylvester that the zoning c]assifi-
ca.tion of the subject parcel of land, Chas H. Crim, Trustee, be changed
from R-1 to C-2. The vote was:
Valier - For
Bowden - For
Sylvester - For
All v+sting for the motion, it was duly passed.
Meeting adjourned 7:45 P.M.
