Council at their October 31, 2005 Special Meeting agreed to have Staff prepare a resolution for Council to formalize by action at their next Regular Council Meeting. OR COMPETITIVE BID FOR ANYTHING OVER $10,000 -ATTACH 3 BIDS) APPROVALS: FINANCE DIRECTOR VILLAGE MANAGER ~'T - VILLAGE ATTORNEY (if Needed) Yes No PLEASE RETURN TO VILLAGE CLERK TO PLACE ON THE AGENDA RESOLUTION NO. 22-05/06 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO WAIVE PERMITS FOR MINOR REPAIRS FOR HURRICANE DAMAGE DUE TO HURRICANE WILMA FOR ALL RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA; THIS SHALL ALSO INCLUDE THE WAIVING OF PERMITS AND ASSOCIATED FEES BY THE FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT FOR MINOR COMMERCIAL BUILDING REPAIRS FOR HURRICANE DAMAGE DUE TO HURRICANE WILMA; AND TO EXEMPT CONTRACTORS THAT HAVE AN OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE WITH THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA TO ALLOW THEM TO PERFORM THESE MINOR REPAIRS FOR THE PERIOD CO1rIl~NCING ON OCTOBER 31, 2005 TO JANUARY 1, 2006. WHEREAS, The Village of Tequesta desires to provide the citizens with the opportunity to repair their residential homes and commercial buildings in a timely fashion by waiving permits for minor repairs within the Village of Tequesta for hurricane damage caused by Hurricane Wilma for a period commencing on October 31, 2005 to January 1, 2006. WHEREAS, The Village Council held a Special Council Meeting on October 31, 2005 where they agreed to waive all permits for minor repairs for "Hurricane Damage" due to Hurricane Wilma for all residential and commercial properties with the Village of Tequesta, and WHEREAS, The Village Council agreed at their Special Council Meeting on October 31, 2005 to waive permits and all associated fees by the Fire Rescue Department for minor commercial building repairs for hurricane damage due to Hurricane Wilma, WHEREAS, The Village Council agreed at their Special Council Meeting on October 31, 2005 to exempt businesses that have an occupational license with the Village of Tequesta to perform these minor repairs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Council approval to waive all permits for minor repairs for hurricane damage due to Hurricane Wilma for all residential and commercial properties within the Village of Tequesta commencing on October 31, 2005 to January 1, 2006. SECTION 2: Council approval to waive the permits and associated fees by the Fire Rescue Department for minor commercial building repairs for hurricane damage due to Hurricane Wilma within the Village of Tequesta commencing on October 31, 2005 to January 1, 2006. SECTION 3: Council approval to exempt contractors that have an occupational license with the Village of Tequesta to allow them to perform these minor repairs for hurricane damage due to Hurricane Wilma within the Village of Tequesta commencing on October 31, 2005 to January 1, 2006. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 17t'' day of November, A.
