Signed and returned 6-14-68. 2, Letter of thanks from North County First And Squad, Inc. for contribu- tion of $500.00. 3. Letter from State Beverage Department. Re: Cigarette Tax collections. 4. Payment of $26,575. interest on $1,063,000. Water Revenue Certificates will be paid to Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, New York, New York prior to July 1, 1968. 5. Water line relocation complete. 6. Tax Sale was held at 12:00 o'clock noon, June 12, 1968. Two (2) Tax Certificates were sold. C.H.A. 8 remains to be sold and C.H.A. 6 must be re-advertised. 7. The Village has two (2) Certificates on Lot No. 159, Tequesta for 1965 and 1966 Taxes. The Village Attorney has suggested the Village Council authorize the transfer of these Certificates for amount due plus interest of twelve (12) percent. The persons who purchased the two (2) 1967 Certificates would be willing to purchase the 1965 and 1966 Certificates, amount due $35.23, plus interest. 8. BOX 638 JUPITER, FLORIDA - 33458 June 18, 1968 HENRY M. DUSENBERY CHIEF OF POLICE Police vehicles during the month of May, 1968, traveled a tota 1 of 5,969 miles using 635.4 gallons of gas and 9 quarts of oil. One hundred and six complaints were investigated ranging from unlocked, unsecured homes or businesses to four complaints of minor vandalism. No B Fe E's, major crimes or felonies were reported or investigated this month. On May 27, 1968, Officer Joseph Gawn notified the Chief in the presence of Village Manager Mr. Harp that he was terminating his employment with the Village at that time. No notice or written resignation received. Daniel D. Peterson, age 26 years, was hired on May 27, • 1968, as probationary Patrolman to fill vacancy authorized by Village Council at the April 16th meeting. PatroLnan Peterson meets all requirements of the new Minimum Requirements Law for Policemen of the State of Florida. Peterson will attend a five week, 200 hour Police Training School at West Palm Beach starting July 15, 1968, as required by State Iaw. Police Desk message service handled fifty-one complaints plus normal radio dispatch service for Juno Beach Police Department. Through cooperation of Jupiter-Tequesta Radio Station, several messages of public interest were broadcast concerning children on school vacations and recommending procedures on securing vacant homes.
