COUNCILMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FIARII-A
The re-organizational meeting of the Council of the pillage
of Tequesta was held Monday, April 3, 1967 at 8:00 P.M. at the Village
Hall. Councilmen present were: Messrs. Bowden, Sylvester, Valier
and Cornelius. Also present was Robert Harp, Village Clerk and Manager.
Mayor Bowden advised that the meeting was held pursuant to
the requirements of the Village Charter.
The meeting was opened with prayer and the pledge of a lle-
giance to the flag by Village Manager Robert Harp.
The Village Clerk gave the Oath of Office to:
Robert C. Valier Councilman-First Ward
Robert E. Sylvester CounciLosn-Second Ward
who were both elected for two (2) year terms at the March 21, 1967
General Election.
Cornelius moved, second by Valier and passed that the
following Village officers be elected for the coming pear:
Robert E. Sylvester Vice-Mayor
• Robert C. Valier Treasurer
Cecil "Zeke~~ Cornelius Tax Assessor
Ihle Bledsoe Tax Collector
Assistant Village Clerk, Betty G. Cog, read the Oath of Office to all
of the officers except the Tax Collector.
Sylvester moved, second by Valier and passed that Henry W.
Jewett be appointed Village Judge for the coming year. The Village
Clerk administered the Oath of Office to the Village Judge.
Cornelius moved, second by Valier and passed that the following
Viila,ge officers be appointed for the coming year:
Robert Harp Village Manager and Village Clerk
Henry M. Ltusenbery Police Chief
Betty G. Cox Assistant Village Clerk
Judge Henry W. Jewett administered the Oath of Office to the above
Village officers.
Upon motion by Cornelius, second by Sylvester and passed,
William A. Lord, Winters, Brackett, Lord and Potter, West Pa La Beach,
was appointed Village Attorney.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
