RESOLUTION 11-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 12, 2019 FOR THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA COUNCIL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the regular election for two Village Council seats and one Charter Amendment for the Village of Tequesta was held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019; and WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office has presented to the Village of Tequesta the certified results of said election and they have made their canvass of ballots as required by law; and WHEREAS, the Village Council assembled together on the 1 1th day of April, 2019 during a Regular Council Meeting to certify the election results. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA Section 1. Upon canvas of the election returns as presented by the Supervisor of Elections and as certified by the Village Clerk, the Village Council hereby declares and certifies that electors cast their ballots as follows: A. Seat 2: (two year term) Abbigail Brennan, having run unopposed, is hereby declared elected to said office. B. Seat 4: (two year. term) Thomas Paterno 363 votes 31% Kyle Stone 808 votes 69% Kyle Stone having received the highest number of votes cast is hereby declared elected to said office. C. Charter Question YES NO 480 votes 45.28% 580 votes 54.72% NO having received the highest number of votes cast, the Charter Question i s hereby declared defeated. Section 2. The foregoing tabulation of the votes cast is hereby certified as the results of the regular election. Section 3. The Village Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County, and to post a copy for public notice. Section 4. This Resolution will take effect immediately upon adoption.
