Weinand, Acting V' e Manager From, Gus Medina, Chief of Police Date: March 3, 2019 Subject: Manatee Grant (increasing Contract Funds) The attached agenda item addresses the need to increase revenues and expenditures in the General Fun #001 201812019 Budget in the amount of $3,000.00 recognizing additional revenues from Palm Beach County for manatee patrol services as well as recognizing related overtime expenditures. The Village currently has a contract with Palm Beach County to provide manatee patrol services in the amount of $19,635.00; and Palm Beach County is increasing their contract with the Village of Tequesta for an additional $3,000.00; and the Village incurs overtime expenditures for the manatee patrol services. On behalf of the Village Manager and staff, this agenda item is submitted for your review and consideration. Your approval will authorize the Village Manager to execute any agreements and authorize the purchase of this item. RESOLUTION NO. 08-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, INCREASING REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES IN THE GENERAL FUND #0012018/2019 BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000.00 RECOGNIZING ADDITIONAL REVENUES FROM PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR MANATEE PATROL SERVICES AS WELL AS RECOGNIZING RELATED OVERTIME EXPENDITURES AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROCEED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VILLAGE'S ADOPTED PROCEDURES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Village currently has a contract with Palm Beach County to provide manatee patrol services in the amount of $19,635.00; and, WHEREAS, Palm Beach County is increasing their contract with the Village of Tequesta for an additional $3,000.00; and, WHEREAS, the Village incurs overtime expenditures for the manatee patrol services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Resolution No. 08-19 is hereby approved increasing revenues and expenditures in the General Fund 40012018/2019 Budget in the amount of $3,000.00 recognizing additional revenues from Palm Beach County for manatee patrol services as well as recognizing related overtime expenditures. Section 2 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage. I am pleased to announce that the Tequesta. Police Department will be reimbursed up to an additional $3,000 for this effort, for a total award of up to $22,635.
