Uniform Sign Code 2. Village Code 1. Uniform Sign Code At the same time that a Shopping Plaza site plan is approved by the Village Council, the applicant also submits a Uniform Sign Code to be reviewed and approved. The subject Uniform Sign Code is prepared by the applicant in terms font, color, material and style. Village staff reviews the Uniform Sign for compliance with technical requirements such us size, and location. For example, Tequesta Shoppes applied for a full scale redevelopment in 2012. Village Council approved the site plan modifications including a new Uniform Sign Code that establishes specific fonts and colors, please see enclosed document. Once this application is approved by the Village Council, every time that a store tenant applied for a sign on the building, Village Staff needs to review for compliance with the previously approved Uniform Sign Code. In case the store tenant wants to deviate from the font, colors, material and style; then, the store tenant needs to provide a business trademark document that will allow her/him to install the subject sign. The above description applies to Paws-4-Play store located on Tequesta Shoppes plaza. Since his sign is Not in compliance with the Uniform Sign Code, then, he is applying to obtain a Trademark that will allow him to install the sign that he is proposing. 2.
