Weinand, Acting Village Manager From:Lori McWilliams, MMC, Village Clerk Date:4/3/19 Subject:Request for Donation from Jupiter High School for Project Graduation Council does not have any funds budgeted for “Aide to Community Organizations” in the 2018/2019 budget. Historically, Council Members have made a donation from their respective “Discretionary Fund” accounts if they wished to make a donation on behalf of the Village. Please see below for historical data. Historical Donation Data 2018No Council Members offered a donation other than Mr. Paterno who noted it would be a personal donation and not from his Discretionary Funds. 2017No request made by Jupiter High School for Project Graduation 2016No request made by Jupiter High School for Project Graduation 2015Council Member D’Ambra and Vice-Mayor Arena each offered $500 from their DiscretionaryFunds. Council Member Paterno noted he could contribute from his personal funds. 2014Council Member D’Ambra and Vice-Mayor Arena each offered $500 from their DiscretionaryFunds. 2013Mayor Brennan offered $200, Vice-Mayor Arena offered $400 and Council Member D’Ambra offered $400 from their Discretionary Funds. The primary focus of project graduation is to keep our graduating Senior class safe the actual night of graduation. Students are chaperoned in Bowlero all night until they are released to their parents. The themed evening provides games, prizes, entertainment, food and drinks. It is a fun filled evening for all where Seniors will make lasting memories with their classmates! With the help of our community, we can all make this a successful event by helping fund Project Graduation 2019. Your donation will help pay for decorations, entertainment, games, food and prizes. Sponsors who make a donation of $250 or more will have their names listed on a banner displayed at the event and on our Facebook page. YES! We would love to help keep Seniors safe by supporting Project Graduation!
