EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Village of Tequesta is considering the possibility of Constructing a new Community Center building. The
current 6,837 -sq. ft. Recreation Center located at 399 Seabrook Road was built in 1963.
The purpose of this Master Plan document is as follows:
- Evaluate the need for a new Community Center building based on (1) demographics and socio-
economic data, (2) programming and building deficiencies; (3) surveys and community meetings, (4) the
Village's comprehensive plan and (5) existing inventory in terms of recreation programs and open space;
provide background information regarding the process up to now; and
present the current conceptual design plans.
The Master Plan document is organized in the following three (3) chapters:
A. Existing Conditions and Needs Analysis
B. Community Input
C..Process and Conceptual Design
Chapter A -Existing Conditions and Needs Analysis -evaluates demographics and socio-economic
indicators as part of a needs assessment study, This section includes information about population,
household type, age, race, ethnicity, employment, income level and housing for residents in Village of
Tequesta. Chapter A also presents existing conditions and deficiencies of the Recreation Center building.
The demographic and socio-economic information is presented in numerous tables based on the U.S. Census
data and highlights the following trends in the Village:
- The population projection (permanent and seasonal population) will surpass 7,000 people by the year
2035 (Table 1 B).
- The number of families with children under 18 years old continues to increase (Table 2).
The number of children under 5 years old increased from 1.9% to 4.4% (Table 3).
The number of residents 45 years and older accounts for 58.9% of the total population (Table 3).
The Village's residents have a high education level: a total of 70.6% of the population have College
degrees or some years of college attendance (Table 6).
- In terms of income, 43.7% of the residents have income below $50,000; 25.8% have income between
$50,000 and $100,000; and 30.4% have income above $100,000 (Table 10).
- The number of families with children under 18 years old and whose income is below the poverty level
increased from 3.8% to 5.5%. Overall, the poverty level in the Village of Tequesta is lower than that of Palm
Beach County (Table 11).
- There is a high level of housing ownership: 79.6% of the residents own their homes while 20.4% are
tenants (Table 12).
In terms of housing value, 53.5% of the housing stock is valued at lower than $300,000 (Table 13).
41.6% of occupied rental units cost between $1,000 and $1,500 monthly rent (Table 14).
In summary, the demographics and socio-economic analysis indicates that the Village population is well
educated, with a growing number of families with young children, and a large number of residents who are
age 45 and older. The high rate of home ownership indicates stability in comparison to the temporary
character of rental communities. In terms of income, the data indicates that the Village is a mixed income
community with 43.7% of the residents having an annual income below $50,000.
The Village is home to a number of educational facilities including the Lighthouse Art Center, private grade
schools, and tutoring facilities that offer programs to grade school children. However there are few gathering
places for activities such as gymnasiums and event roams. As indicated in Table #, 184 Tequesta residents
live in Assisted Living Facilities who would welcome the opportunity to participate in group and interactive
programs.
Village of Taquesta Community Center
Page 3
The demographic and socio-economic analysis supports a need for increasing the number and type of
programs offered by the Recreation Center. The Village of Tequesta's changing demographics and the
variety of income levels support the need for programs that can benefit young children, working parents,
active adults, school age children and senior residents.
Mr. Jose Rodriguez, Village of Tequesta's Building Administrator, conducted a visual examination and
inspection of the Recreation Center building to determine the current condition of the existing building's
components and to report on any deficiencies regarding building systems, components, and
accessibility. He conducted his examination based upon current industry standards, the Florida Building
Code and the National Electrical Code. Please see complete report in Chapter A.
As part of his summary, Mr. Rodriguez indicates 'Overall, the Building appears to be in poor condition,
Is non -ADA compliant, and does not meet current wind load requirements. Also, the Building likely
contains mold and asbestos. I observed numerous deficiencies within the Property and I have included
a list of estimated costs to repair/replace those Items (excluding the cost of asbestos removal). It should
be noted that an existing building must meet the same construction standards as a new building if the
cost of the renovation of the building equals or exceeds 50% of the building's market value and, in this
case, It is likely that the cost of renovating the Building would exceed 50% of Its market value. The
purpose of this Report was to identify general items of concern".
Chapter B -Community Outreach -presents a summary of the community outreach effort to listen,
provide information and obtain feedback from Tequesta's residents regarding the Community Center
initiative. The meetings included Home Owner Associations (HOA), public events and open forums.
The community outreach effort included the following HOA meetings: Shay Play, Tequestal Pines,
Tequesta Gardens, Cypress Ridge and Whitehall. In terms of public events, approximately 200 people
were provided information at the Tequesta Fast on November 24, 2018, and more at the Food Truck
Pow Wow held on March 1, 2019.
Recently, open forums were organized at the Village Hall for the purpose of presenting conceptual
designs and receiving input from the residents (3/27/19 and 3/30/19). Community input was also
gathered by surveys the results of which are presented in this document.
Chapter C -Proposed Conceptual Design -provides information regarding the different steps that were
taken to arrive to the current conceptual architectural design. Meeting notes indicate that in April 2017, a
conceptual design for a new Recreation Center to be located in Remembrance Park was requested. As
part of this process, a Design Committee was organized, the Village published a Request for Proposal,
and REG was selected to prepare the conceptual design that is presented in this document.
On April 1, 2019, the Village Council appointed five (5) residents to the Community Center Advisory
Committee. This Committee held its first meeting on April 10, 20`19.
In conclusion, the Village's demographics and the community input support the need for more recreation
programs. The current Recreation Center is at capacity to offer additional programs and has a number
of building deficiencies. The findings presented in this report strongly suggests improving and
expanding the current Center, or building a new facility that can accommodate the growing needs of the
Village's residents.
This Conclusion is supported by the 2018 Comprehensive Plan, Objective 1.1, which requires the Village
to "Maintain community and neighborhood parks and facilities meeting the current and future needs of
all age groups in Tequesta."

DEMOGRAPHICS AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC ANALYSIS
The Master Plan evaluates demographics and socio-economic indicators as part of the needs
assessment study. This section includes information about population, household type, age, race,
ethnicity, employment, and income level of the Village of Tequesta residents. The purpose is to
analyze how these characteristics will impact the Community Center programming.
Population
Table IA. presents historic population trends for the Village of Tequesta. Palm Beach County data is
also presented for comparison. Incorporated in 1957, the Village experienced rapid growth during the sixties
and seventies. Large industries arrived tothis northern area of Palm Beach County during this time, which
resulted in the development of multiple subdivisionsto accommodate newjob opportunities.
Throughout the 1980, 1990s, and 2000s, Village experienced a
steady population increase. However, the growth rate was on a steady decline, as the Village became
almost fully developed. Multi -family developments during this time mark some of the last
developments in the area, as the Village became almost fully built -out. Besides potential
development opportunities on the few remaining vacant lots, the population is not expected to see
much more significant increases to the population from new development. According to the Bureau
of Economic and Business Research (BEBR) of the University of Florida, the population of the Village had
increased to 5,665 people by 2015. Additional population analysis and estimates of permanent
and seasonal population 2015-2040 are presented atthe end ofthis document.
Table 1A. Historic Population Trends
Population Proiections
As indicated in Table 1B, the most recent estimate of the permanent population for the Village is
6,119 residents for 2040, according to the Shimberg Center for Housing Studies Clearing, which are based on
University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR) and the center's housing data. Seasonal
population presented an actual increase of 325 people between the last decennial censuses. That represented a
54% increase in seasonal residents. That growth coincided with a peak in Condo construction where the
majority of seasonal residents own or rent property
today. Since then, the Village has essentially reached a built -out status. It has been assumed that
seasonal population may continue to grow but at the same pace of the permanent population. Table 1 B.
presents a total population, including seasonal, of7,128 people forthe year 2040.
Therefore, both permanent and seasonal population are expected to remain stable over the next 20 years given the
built -out status mentioned above, unless the Village chooses to pursue a new major annexation program, which has
been rejected in the recent past by residents of those areas, or attract considerable higher density
redevelopment in the future. Although the University of Florida's BEBR is projecting a 358,117 increase in the
number of permanent residents living in Palm Beach County between 2015 and 2035, it is unlikely that the
Village's growth will be impacted without some significant change in anticipated conditions. I
In onclusion, Table 1B. presents actual population growth increase between the last two decennial censuses.
Since then, the Village has experienced very little population growth, which is estimated to continue, as shown in the
projected population 2015-2040. A factor that has certainly contributed to the Village's slowing growth rate
include the lack of available land for new development, since the Village is basically built out. Future estimated
population growth could be accommodated in the remaining vacant land, potential annexation of
unincorporated enclaves scattered throughout the Village or potential higher density redevelopment of existing areas.

This section examines the socioeconomic characteristics of the population. The following analysis is based on the American
Community Survey (ACS) of the U.S. Census Bureau which includes estimates based on a sample of households over a 5-year
period. The data provided by the ACS allows an in depth analysis of socioeconomic variables and trends. The following tables
reflect the most recent data provided by the ACS and are organized in columns, each representing a 5- year period: the first
provides data from 2006-2010, and the second from 20111-2014.
Table 2 presents the number of households and persons per household according to the American Community Survey (ACS)
from the U.S. Census Bureau. A household is defined as the person or persons occupying a dwelling unit. As the average
household size decreases, the number of households or required dwelling units increases relative to the population. Due to
several factors, average household size is decreasing throughout the United States. These factors include families having
fewer children and delaying the birth of children; young adults no longer living with parents but moving out on their own,
and older persons living longer independently and not returning to their children in their later years. Combined, these factors
have led to a decrease in the average household size. Conversely, the average household size in the Village of Tequesta as
almost remained the same, with a slight increase from 2.27 to 2.28 between 2010 and 2014, as indicated in Table 2. These
numbers are slightly lower than the 2014 Palm Beach County average household size of 2.51

Table 3 shows the numerical and percentage breakdown of the Village's population by age 3
in 2010 and 2014 according to the American Community Survey
(ACS) from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The 45-54-year-old age group is the largest in both years (16.7% and 20%). In both 2010 and
2014, the second largest age group was 65-74-year-olds. However, the population in this age
group decreased between 2010 and 2014, from 15.5% to 12.9%. Overall, Tequesta's
population 65 and over has decreased, with the most growth seen in the 45 to 59-year age
groups. Table 3 also indicates that the number of children under 5 years old increased from
1.9% to 4.4%.

Population Race
Tables 4 and 5 present the racial characteristics of the Village's population according to the American the
Community Survey (ACS) from the U.S. Census Bureau. At 92.8%, the largest portion of the population in the
Village of Tequesta is White. While the White population decreased between 2010 and 2014, the second largest
race population, Hispanic or Latino of any race, increased from 6.3% to 10.2%. The Village's Asian population
increased from 1.8% to 4.4% between 2010 and 2014, which is higher than that of Palm Beach County. Palm Beach
County data reflects a slightly different racial breakdown. At the county level, 75.5% percent of the
population was white (including persons of any origin) in 2014. Hispanic or Latino of any race accounted for
20% of the population, while Black or African American was 17.7%.

Education
Table 6 indicates the education attainment level of the Village's population according to
the American Community Survey (ACS) from the U.S. Census Bureau. Achievement levels are broken
down into different categories. The college level groups are further broken down to show those
that had some college (no degree), an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree, and a graduate or
professional degree. Achievement levels recorded are the highest level (years completed)
reached by an individual.
According to Table 6, 93.8% of the population had a high school diploma or higher
educational level in the 2006-2010 period. The Village of Tequesta experienced a small increase to
94.4 % in the period 2010-2014. That figure is just slightly higher than the 87.7% of the population
in Palm Beach County who had a high school diploma or higher education level. The number
of individuals with a graduate or professional degree increased from 11.8% in 2010 to 15.8 %
in 2014 in the Village, compared to 12.3% in 2014 for Palm Beach County.

Income
Table 10 shows income and benefits data according to the American Community Survey (ACS) from the U.S.
Census Bureau. The median income per household declined between 2010 and 2014, possibly due to the
economic downturn that characterized the great recession years. The median household income in the
Village declined between 2010 and 2014, from $63,800 to
$54,787. However, the mean household income increased from $82,843 to 87,390 during this time. In Palm
Beach County, the 2014 median household income was $52,878, while the mean household income was
$80,961.
During the 2006-2010 time period, 20.9% of total households in Tequesta earned an income between
$50,000 and $74,000. However, by 2014, an estimated 18% of the total households earned an income
between $100,000 and $149,999, which was the highest percentage of all income levels. As for Palm
Beach County, the highest percentage of total households, 17.3%, earned $50,000 to $74,999, while
12.5% of total households earned between $100,000 and
$149,999, in 2014.
Table 10 indicates 43.7% of the residents have income below $50,000; 25.8% have income between
$50,000 and $100,000; and 30.4% have income above $100,000.

Poverty Level
Table 11 presents the percentage of families and people whose income in the past calendar year was
below the poverty level. Federal poverty levels are used to determine eligibility for certain
programs and benefits. Poverty level is a measure of income level issued annually by the
Department of Health and Human Services. The economic downturn and high level of
unemployment during the great recession impacted income and raised the number of families and
people under poverty level in Tequesta as experienced elsewhere.
Overall, the Village of Tequesta has lower poverty levels than Palm Beach County. However, the number
of families and people below the poverty level in the Village increased from 2010 to 2014. All
families below the poverty level increased from 1.6% to 3.9%; and all people from 3.4% to 5.4%. As for
Palm Beach County, 10.5% of all families, and 14.6% of all people were below the poverty level in 2014.
On the contrary, the number of families in the Village with female householders (no husband
present) decreased from 10.7% to 5.8% during this time period, whereas 26.2% of these families
were below the poverty level in Palm Beach County. In both the Village and the county, more families
with female householders (no husband present) were under the poverty level in comparison with
married couple families.

Table 12 indicates that between 2010 in 2014, Tequesta saw a slight shift in the number of owner -occupied and
renter -occupied units. Owner -occupied units decreased by 2.8 percent, while renter -occupied units increase by 2.8
percent during that time. By 2014, 79.6 percent of all occupied housing units in Tequesta were owner -occupied, in
contrast with 20.4 percent occupied by renters. This trend is consistent with the County where there are more
owner -occupied units than renter -occupied units. The average number of persons per household, both owner- and
renter -occupied, is slightly over two (2.25 and 2.39, respectively) in Tequesta, which is just barely lower than in Palm
Beach County (2.47 and 2.67). This is consistent with the larger concentration of retirees and "empty nesters" in
Tequesta.

in Tequesta than in Palm Beach County as a whole. In 2014, approximately 30.6 percent of the homes in 9M
Tequesta were valued at less than 200,000, compared to 51.2 q $ p percent at the County level.
However, over 20 percent of the Village's homes were valued at over $500,000, compared to
approximately 11 percent in Palm Beach County. These numbers are consistent with the 2014
median home values, which were higher in the Village ($287,400) than in the County ($194,600)

RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE INVENTORY
The Parks and Recreation Department oversees and manages the recreation program and park
facilities of the Village of Tequesta. Because of the limited amount of land available for future
development in Tequesta, the opportunity for expansion of recreational and open space lands is
limited. Table 17. below lists the existing Village and County -owned recreation and open space parks in

Parks and open spaces owned and managed by other entities, were not included in the park LOS analysis.
Specifically, the open space area known as Eco Site No. 61, which corresponds to the approx. 50-acre north
portion of the federally owned and managed 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area
(ONA), which is located within the Village boundaries. This federally -owned open space area provides a walking
trail and beach frontage along the Intracoastal Waterway, which is used by Village residents and non-residents,
including tourists. Likewise, Coral Cove Park is a County -owned and operated community park located within
the corporate limits of Tequesta. This park is a 6.21-acre beachfront park located on the barrier island portion
of Village. The park has 955.5 feet of beach, one mile of nature trail, a fishing site, a picnic table area, and a
playground, and is used by Village residents and non-residents as well.
Crrent and future demand are based on population estimates discussed in detail in the overall Introduction to
the Data & Analysis documents. Existing supply of Village -owned and managed parks, continue to show a
sufficient surplus ofparkarea, particularlyforcommunity parks.

Building Official. Building Inspector. Plan Fxatn nwr. Commercial General Contractor and Licensed
Roofing Contractor, performed a property condition assessment of the property located at 399 Seabrook
Rd. Tequesta. FL 33469 (the "Property'). The Property consists of one parcel of land that totals
approximately 3.72 acres. The subject Parks and Recreation building (the "Building") was constructed
in 1963 and totals approximately 6.837 square feet -
Inspection Scope
The following report (the Report) contain, the result, of my Apiil 24, 2019 visual inspection of the
Property. This Report addresses general items that were visible during my limited inspection. illustrated
by photographs taken during the inspection. Reasonable effort was made to view all safely accessible
areas of the property. including the rooftop. Concealed items cannot normallybe inspected without using
invasive procedures or special testing equipment that is beyond the scope of this type of general
inspection.
Roof
The roofis a fiat design and consists of a water -proofed granular-sutfaced built-up .sgstemt supported
by comugated metal panels. The roof has tradhple areas that have blistered over time allovaing leaks
into the Building. IhSuluple areas of the roof have previously been repaired In my opinion the roof
has reached its maximum lifespan and needs to be replaced -
Roof Deck
The roof deck has deteriorated to the poiffi .Aiere it is damaged, sagging, and leaking and twpures
replacement.
Building Exterior
The exterior walls of the Building are con, eredvrith painted cemeriblicus stucco formed over metal lath.
Some of the envelope of the building is formed with CNIU walls covered with painted cememitious
stucco and wire lath over wood flame. There are multiple sacks throughout the exterior walls uvhere
mold has bonded. All of the Buildings doors and w^indovcs are non -impact and should be replaced -
Building Interior
The interior walls of the Building have deteriorated and there are cracks and holes throughout. In
addition. there are wet patches and stains on numerous interior walls which appear to contain mold.
There is a strong odor of mold and mildeuv throughout the building, especially within the Recreation
Room and the three bathrooms. The carpets and floor tiles have met the products' lifespan- In additim
certain tile areas are non-,iDA compliant.
Ceiling
Multiple areas of the ceiling have water damage caused by the leaking roof deck. It appeals that mold
is located throughout the Building's ceiling- In addition- since the Building was built in 1963- it is
expected to contain asbestos within the tinj and pipes.
Bathrooms
There are two common area bathrooms. and one employee bathroom in the building. All three
bathrooms are non-ADA compliant: there are no exit signs ova- the do tr ays, the sinks are too thigh,
and there is iasu iciest hot water flow, In addition the bathrooms are not ventilated m- insulated and
there are no drop ceilings -

SUMMARY OF PROCESS
During the April 3,, 2017, Village C:ouncit Workshop, Village Manager Couzzo noted the limited
size and capacity of the Village's existing Recreation Center„ and proposed using revenue from
the "penny tax" to build a new community center at Remembrance Park_
A Community Center Design Committee was subsequently formed comprising Greg Corbitt,
Vince Arena, Jose Rodriquez, Joel Medina, Brad Gom berg, Doug Chambers, Gustavo Medina,
Wendy Schmidt, Kathleen Worley and Frank D' Ambra.
A request for proposal was published in the Palm Beach Post on May 1, 2018. The eight
architectural firms that responded were evaluated and ranked by Village staff. The Design
Committee narrowed the eight firms down to three 3 finalists: Synalovski Romanik Saye, REG
Architects, and Stephen Boruf. Representatives from each of the top three firms presented a
fifteen -minute presentation tothe Village Council_ On September 13, 2018, the Village Council
accepted REG Architects" Phase 1 proposal_
The Recreation Department then began a community outreach initiative to introduce the REG
proposal and to listen the community_ In addition to the surveys, a number of public
information meetings were conducted, including meetings with Home O%vner Associations
hHDAs.I, information provided at community wide events, and open forums. This outreach
effort was presented in the previous chapter_
Feedback indicated that the public did not favor the Remembrance Park location because of
its proximity to neighboring residential properties. The limitations of the existing recreation
center and a desire for a broader spectrum of activities were also noted.
On April 1„ 2019, the Villlage Council appointed five residents to the Community Center
Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee helld its first meeting on April 10, 2019, and its
second on April 22, 2019.

Tequesta, FL 33469
Dear Mr. Corbitt
Thank you for presenting the Village of Tequesta's plans for the potential expansion of Constitution
Park. Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and School whole-heartedly support your efforts to secure
federal grant funding for this project.
With child obesity at record levels, we need more options for children to engage in physical activity. In
addition, the threat of heat exhaustion in Florida is high, and the opportunity to present indoor options
would be ideal!
The proposed increase in both indoor and outdoor recreation areas will be a fantastic asset to our
community. Thank you again for keeping us apprised ofthis exciting endeavor.

Additional Comments:
Gymnastic space should be at least 5000 square feet.
Thank you!
500 square feet for Coach Larry. x2
We love gymnastics for the kids)
Splash pad
Show programs available in the village magazine. Choose a resident
to get a free class to help get involvedl Spark more interest)
Stage on pavilion.
Gymnastics summer camp offered as it has been in previous years but
not this year.
The gymnastics program is excellent)
Tennis courts would be greatl I
We love everything that is offered currently but more late classes for
kids programs would be great.
Swimming pool would be great.
Would you consider a swimming pool? Swim With Gills could operate
your program.
A supervised kids room and shared workspace for parents- like a co -
working room with childcare would be amazing, or space to work while
kids are in the programs.
Love the gymnastics program.
A splash park would be greatl
Love the beautiful + convenient Constitution Park- Great Community
Asset.
Make the website easier to sign up for classes etc. -Not user friendly
currently.
Village of Tequesta Community Center
We love the programs and will support any additional offerrings in the
community:)
New building with updated facilities.
Would love if any Tequesta address could benefit from discounts.
Planning to become a resident.
Would love to have pilates- very healthful for our core in addition to
yoga.
Enjoying Tai Chi very much.
More seating. Indoors- during gymnastics/picnic areas for food trucks.
My boys go to the Thursday Ninja Class. We love taking classes here and
are looking forward to signing up for more classes here.
The outside space is wonderful and offers a lot of multifunctional uses.
I would hate to see any of the outside space be diminished in any way.
More programs that are quality for kids (older kids) and for momsl
Splash pad in the playground would be amazing! Mist cooling too!
Larger gymnastic area.
The gymnastics program needs more space.
A splash park would be an amazing addition tool
Would love to have bigger building for gymnastics and dance.
The best part of Constitution is the amount of shade. Most local parks
do not provide enough shade. Would love even more shade where
possible.
More activities for elementary school children.
An electric charger for cars would be awesomel I
Splash pad.
We love the parks and we love Tequesta.
Splash pad + shade :)
Bigger facility with more parking.

Village of Tequesta Community Center
Offer yoga and other exercise classes- Zumba, Barre + Ballet in PM.
Coach Larry does a s:•per job with gymnastics classes and the open gym
As a grandmother, I love to take my grandchildren to his classes. The
equipment is varied, interesting, and challenging. Even more equipment
could be added. I keep hearing about interactive fountains for children
which I hope will eventually be constructed. It is a fabulous idea. My
suggestion for playground equipment is to have sliding boards face
"north" so they do not get dangerously hot. This time of year and through
the much of the equipment is unusable. I love the programs and events
the park/town of Tequesta put on for residents (movies, holiday events
fun for the pics, etc) Keep up the good work.:)
Constitution Park is AWESOMEIII
Greg is great, good vision for gymnasium and splash park.
All good for us!
We love the ninja classesl
Yoga Tai Chi + Mindfulness classes appreciated for all ages.
The focus should be on children including teens. Give the teens a place
to go hang out and socialize. This is our biggest need.
An indoor basketball/multi purose gymnasium is much needed because
of the heat and thunderstorms that are so prevelant in our area.
I really enjoy the VOT. Keep up the great work
My wife and I noticed the rec has mildew/mold and the air quality isn't
good. Perhaps the village can look into this and if the facility is
remodeled it can get a LEED certification for high performance building
and indoor air quality.
There are may options & offerings for children and young adults.
Working adults can afford many gyms, specialized classes, ect.
However, older adults, and those of retirment age who are on fixed
incomes would greatly benefit from affordable wellness programs
close to home. I feli u.is should be the centers priority as it is not filled
in any other way by the community.
As I see youger famlies moving in, I belive the recreation center should
be geared towards both children and adults.
Page 59
Having indoor facilities that are versatile seems to b e a logical priority
given the narrow land site. As JCC does, there is no reason that a second
basketball court couldn"t be used for dance, yoga, ect. The lifeblood of
Tequesta is the kids and young families. Even if their voice isn't quite as
active in lobbying for particulars, it seems commonsense that the lion's
share of facilities would be greared toward the youth. Creating a
kid/family centered venue would be an excellent way of encouraging
family time and wholesome activity that sems to be deficent in today's
soceity all too frequently.
p.s. Please don't waste a lot of space on parking! They can always park
elsewhere and make the short walk or easliy ride their bikes from
anywhere in Tequesta.
Thank you for allowing our imput.
Would be great is Tequesta had a splash park for the kids. 1 recently
visited the Kiwanis Sprayground in Dundin with two of my grandchildren
and we had a blast.
We love consitution park -we use it as often as works for our schedule
Have Silver Sneakers with my insurance but would like something close
by. Have recently retired so time may be more convenient. Hard to give
up "free" for Silver Sneakers and pay but sometimes, with the bridge up
most of the time during season, it would be worth it.
Would love a fitness room like Curves (which has now closed most
places) But older people like me love it. Machines are hydraulic so you
would just have to move them, not put pins in weights, etc. They are in
circle and you go around and are done in 30 minutes. I would do that at
least 3 times a week. I know some of those machines were privately
owned and one gal from North Lake Blvd who was an owner stored hers
for a while. There are about 10-12 machines with steppers in between
and you get a great workout. Especially good for seniors. Thank you!
I want to get out of the Florida heat and play sports inside, and have fun!
It would be great to have more than one restroom available at th. the park
We would also love a small "splash" area to cool off while at the park
in the hot months, but small. Not like PEG or even Rialto.
Parks and Recreation staff does an awesome job with events)
More opportunities for youth to meet up and be active would be great.
Adults have the Gallery & Perk, little kids have the playground, but the
tweens and teens don"t have a lot to do in the village.
