A Public Hearing tas held by the Village of Tequesta Zoning Board
of Ad~vstment on December 16, 1965 at 8:00 P.1~1. at the Village Hall.
Board members present hare: Mesara. Vierck, riurphy and Good. Also pre-
sent wa,s Robert Harp, Clerk of tht Board.
Chairman Vierck had the Clerk read the letter from A~layfair Builders,
Inc., agents for Foy D. and Phyllis P. 3tohler, requesting the Heariog,
the newspaper a~rertisement of the Hearing and the letter seat to all
property ow~nera within 500 feet of the proposed variance.
Chairman Vierck asked if there ~~ere any ~~rritten ob3ections tv the
application. The Clerl: stated there ~•rere none but road a letter from
Mrs. Robert S. Lafferty, o~rner of I~ot No. 193, requesting a siwilar vari-
ance for her lot. The Clerk read his letter i.n reply advising such a
variance could not be granted and stating the reasons rrhp and the method
of getting a variance to the Village Zoning Ordinance.
1~1r. J. P. Kurtz, President of Tequesta Sales Corp., returned hie
notification letter stating he had no objection to the proposed variance.
l~x~. Phil Lofsted, representing the Iiohlers, stated the only part of
• the house that would encroach on the front yard setback t~rould be the gar-
age and that the house would be a credit to the entire community.
The Board looked at the plat of the area is arhich Lot 194 is located
and found it to be the smallest lot with a width of 95' on the front and
113~t at the rear line and 120' in depth.
After the discussion ~,rith Mr. Lofated, tho Board considered the
application and discussed all facets of the application. Murphy moved,
second by Good that the application of Fop D. and Phyllis P. liohler to
construct a house on Lot 194 with a front yard of twenty-two feet,
four inches (22'4") measured from the front tirall of the building to the
street Line, be granted. The vote on the nwtion teas as follows:
Vierck - For
Good - For
Murphy - For
Motion carried and Clerk is to notify the Iiohlers of the Boards'
decision.

At a Meetiing of the Zoning Board of ®djustment held December 16,
1965, the board discussed the amount of fee that should be paid with
each application for a variance.
The Clex~c explained that the present Fee is $20.00 and meat of this
is apeat on the newspaper advertisement for a Hearing.•
It was the general feeling of the Board members present (Vierck,
Good and Murphy) that the fee should be increased. ``''
Murph~- moved seconded by Good and passed, that the fee for filing
an application for a variance to the terns of the Vi~ll.age of Teque9ta
Official Zoning Ordinance be $35.00 effective at once.
