A Public Hearin was held
g by the Zoning Board of Adjustment
pn Wednesday, March 9, 1966, at 8:00 P,M. in the Village Hall. Members
present ~~ere Messrs. Yierck, Murphy and Shiplett. Also present was
Robert Harp, Clerk of the Board.
Chairman Yierck asked the Clerk to exp]ain the reason for the
Rearing. The Clerk explained that the Zoning Board had granted a condi-
tional use of a p~areel of land in Ridgewood Homes, Section 4 for the
cotutruetion of a church and related facilities to grist the King
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Inc. for a period of eighteen (18) months
and the conditional use had_expfrec'i February 28, 1Jbb. ~e present
application was for a six (6) mont~w extension of the conditfona2:use
of the land for the coastrnc~ion.of a church and related facilities by
Christ the King Evangelical Lut~ere,n Church, Inc. fraot March 1, 196b
Audit ~~ ~ , l?b6b. The Clerk further stated that Notice. of the .~3earing
liac~ been ~~~ed and all faffeetiled prb~erty owners ndtif~ed o~ the
E[earing by letter.
Chaira~a,n Yierck asked the Clerk if any obje~ti~~ts dad br~en
received. The Clerk advised he had not received any verbal or written
®113ectioos to the application. Chairman Vierck then asked for any
eb~ections from the floor and there were none.
Pastor Johnson stated that six (6) months would be adequate
• ties for the start of construction of the facilities and explained that
grey wars in the final stages of getting the construction drawings
approved. It was explained that their synod in Chicago had not given
final approval for the plans for the construction and therefore it was
eecessarg for the local Church to request as e.~ctensioo of the condi-
tional we of the land. Pastor Johnson stated the only structural
change fr® previous plans was removing the steeple from the roof and
placieg a tower at the aide of the building for this purpose.
Shiplett moved, second by Murphy that Christ the King Rvan-
gelical Lutheran Church, Inc. be granted a six (6) months extension
of the conditional use of a parcel of land in Ridgewood Homes, Sec-
tion 4 for the construction of a church building and related facili-
ties. The vote on the motion was as follows:
Shiplett - For the Motion
Murphy - For the Motion
Vierck - For the Motion
Harry N. Gifford, Jr. sent in a proxy vote approving the
granting of the extension.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20 P,M.
