The meeting convened, at 7:00 P. M. at the Village Hall arith Mr Bowden as ahairms,n of the' meeting. Other members present here Messrs: Sylvester; Cornelius, Valier and Bledsoe. Also present were Robert Harp, Clerk a.nd Attorney William A. Lord. The Clerk advised that notice of the hearing had been made stipulating that 5:00 P. M., Friday, July 8, 1966 was the deadline for filing written compla,iats: Charles N. and Frances T. Cox, owners oi^ Leit 10, Ridgewood, had made applicat- ion for a reduction to the Pa :m Reach County assessed ~a,:?t;:atioa of ~ $16,100. based upon their purchase price of $1G, 174. Tae 1966 Dillage s,ss~ss<*nent was $17,965. Goraelius amved, second by Valier and unanimously passed that the assessed valuation of Lot 10, Ridgewood be reduced to $16, 000. W. A. Wilder, owner of Lot~4, Ridgewood, had made application for a reduction to the Palm Beach. County and FHA assessed va,lvation and his purchase price of $16,?Q0. The 1966 Village assessment was $17,990. Cornelius moved,'second by Bledsoe and unanimously p~,a~sed that the assessed valuation of Lot 4; Ridgewood oe reduced to $16,700. Ra,~mon E.•Jr. and Elisabeth A. Oakes, owners of Lot 67; Ridge~,rood Homes, Section 2, had made applics~,tion for a reduction to $16;900:, the price they had paid for the property in 1964. The 1966 Village assessment wan $18,995. The • Board found this to be a larger house than those previously acted upon and that the 1966 valuation of $18,995. as assessed by the tax assessor wan equitable and that the owners had been fortunate in being able to puk~chase the property for $16,900.~Sylvester moved, second by Valier and unanimously gassed that the application of Raymon E. Jr. and Elizabeth A. Oakes fora reduction in the 1966 assessed valuation of $18,995. for lot 67, Ridgewood Homes, Section 2, be rejected. Mrs.' Jennie Ziegler, owner of approximately 38 ages of land located north of Tequesta Drive and between Old Dixie High~~y and U.'S. Highway No. 1 and south of Bridge Road had made application for a reduct~.on from the Village 1966 assessed valuation of $166, 500. The Board agreed to iai!thhold action on the s,pplic~,tion sa that the tax assessor could make a further study of the application. Mrs. Jennie Ziegler, Executrix of the estate of John Ziegler, owner of the northerly, 180 feet'of Goverrmnent I~t 4, lying east of U. S. Highway No. 1, less the westerly ~l00 feet, in 30-4t~13, had made applicatipn for a reduction from the Vi];la,ge~ 1966 assessed valuation of $20,500. The Board agreed to withhold action on the application so that the tax assessor could make~a further study of the application: Mrs. Agues Lubatty, owner of Lot No. 404, Tequesta made a verbal request for a reduction to $32,000. based upon the total cost of land and house. The Vi]1a.ge assessed ve.luatioa for 1966 is $393.500. Cornelius moved, second by Valier and ua-animoue3,g passed that the assessed valuation of I,ot 404, Tequesta be reduced to $32,000. M. ct lp s 'tted, o ert Harp, Cle MINUTES OF Ti-~`~ ~'~lBLIC HEARING HELD JULY 1$, 1965 The Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta held a Public Hearing July 12, 1966 at 7:35 P. M. at the Village Hall. Councilmen present were Messrs: Bowden, Valier, Cornelius, Sylvester and Bledsoe. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Clerk and William A. Lord, Village Attorney. Mayor Bowden advised that the hearing had been advertise" and was being held to a.ct u on the ?pplication of Edward A. and Isabel S. White to re-zone their three (3~ parcels of land on Jupiter Island from R-2 Multiple Family Dwelling Dis- trict to R-3 Multiple Family (High Rise) Dwelling District. There were no written objections to the application and there were no object- ions from the floor.. Valier moved, second by Cornelius that the zoning cla,ssi_fica,tion of Lot 196 and the south seventy (70) feet of Lot 195, Jupiter Island Subdivision, Palm Beach County, Florida lying between the easterly right - of - way line of the Intracoa sta 1 Waterway a.nd the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, less the right - of - way of State Road No. 70?, be changed from R-2 Multiple Family Dwelling District to R-3 Multiple FA,mily (High Rise ) Dwelling ~i.strict. The vote on the motion was as follows: BOWDEN FOR THE MOTION SYLVESTER FOR THE MOTION CORNELIUS FOR TIC MOTION VALIER FOR ^1TrlE MOTION BLEDSOE FOR TI'S MOTION • All voting in favor of the motion, the motion was unanimously passed and. the Village Attorney instructed to prepare as ordinance to ~ovide this change in zoning classification for the subject property.
