HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_07/27/1966MlT1UT.~S OF ^~IlE 5&'ECIAL MEETIRy OF T'I~ COUNCIIMEN OF TIDE VILLAGE OF TEQ~STA, FLORIDA A Special Meeting of the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta was held Wednesday, July 27, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. at the Village Hall. Councilmen present were Messrs: Bowden, Sylvester, Cornelius and VaLier. Also present was Robert Harp, Village Clerk. All Councilmen had been given notice of the meeting by letter dated July 22, 1966. Mayor Bowden advised the meeting that it had been sche- duled for the purpose of acting ux~on the proposal of Sullivan, Nelson fd Goss, Inc. and Tho~ra,s M. Cook Fa Company, jointly, to act as fistaa,l agents for the Village in connection with th.e proposed acquisition by the Vi~a,ge of the Tequesta Water Company and Pla,n- treatj Inc., sewerage disposal plant. The Village Clerk advised that Mr. Lord, the Village Attorney, had approved the general wording of the agreement but thought the fee as stated on .Page 3 might be a negotiable point. The Councilmen thought the suggested fee was fair and equitable for the scope of the work to be done. Cornelius moved, second by Sylvester and unanimously passed that the Mayor and Village Clerk be authorized, and are hereby, to sign the proposal as submitted by Sullivan, Nelson ~ Goss, Inc. and Tho~,s M. Cook ~ Company, jointly, to act as fiscal agents for the Village of Tequesta in connection with the acquisi- tion of Tequesta Water Co., Inc. and Plantreat, Inc. by the Village a ecoading to the teams of the proposal.
