DUSENBERY CHIEF OF POLICE The Police Department investigated fifty-seven complaints during October. Police vehicles traveled a total of 5,691 miles using 481.9 gallons of gas. There were no traffic accidents re- ported to or investigated by the Department this month. Halloween was celebrated on Saturday night, October 30th. Both police cars were on patrol and all members of Department on duty. No.damage or vandalism was suffered by Village. One complaint received from resident proved to be juveniles shinning flashlight in his window. The many civic sponsored activities made this a safe and sane Halloween. Police activities increased this month, mostly in services rendered. Most of our residents have returned for winter. Crime has been kept at a minimum. Respectfully suhnitted, °~~-~~ .. ~ ~">~ Henry Dusenbery Chief of Police VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA CIVIL DEFENSE The monthlp Meeting of joint Jupiter-Tequesta Civil Defense Staffs was held Monday, October 25, 1965, 8:00 P.M. at Tequesta Village Hall. It was resolved that meeting night be changed to last Tuesday of each month because of conflicts of present scheduled meetings. Dr. Stone proposed that a program on Medical Self Help Training for the community be initiated. This was approved and will be programed for the November 30th meeting which will be held at Jupiter Town Hall. A representative of the newly formed North County First Aid Squad addressed the meeting and explained their projected plans which includes ambulance service with trained, qualified personnel. This is a local organization which is badly needed in this area. On Thursday, October 28, 1965, Civil Defense Director at request of Jupiter Business and Professional Women's Club attended their meeting and spoke on the topic, "The Citizen and Civil Defense". Color slides were shown highlighting the Civil Defense effort. Respectfully submitted, • ` ~ '~ ~~ ~ Henry M.
