BOX 638 JUPITER. FLORIDA - 33458 June 14, 1966 HENRY M. DUSENBERY CHIEF OF POLICE The Police Department instituted or investigated 81 complaints during the month of May, 1966. Police vehicles traveled a tota l of 5,122 miles using 523.4 gallons of gas and 9 quarts of oil. Three minor traffic accidents were investigated, resulting in one arrest for careless driving. No personal injuries. Seven parking tickets were issued, six for parking violations on ?07 and one for all night parking in residential area. Three cases of Petty Larceny of building materials were cleared up by arrest of two 19 pear old W/1~i's and one juvenile. Suspects were apprehended by alertness of Officers Roderick and Brown. Full written confessions were obtained and materials recovered. Two 19 pear old W/M's will be prosecuted in Municipal Court, juvenile referred to Juvenile • Authorities. One motor vehicle was stolen from Tequesta Shopping Plaza. Owner had left keys in ignition while she did l~~ wash. Vehicle re- covered in Miami three days later. There were no B ~ E's or Grand Larcenies reported this month. E1 Portal Drive and intersections of Golfview and River Drives at E1 Portal Drive were centerlined as requested by Tequesta Country Club Community Association. Further request of Association for similiar centerlining North Place and Fairway North and its intersections is under study at this time. The vacation season is upon us; the Police Department at the present time has forty-two homes on its vacant homes check list. Co- operation on this project is greatly appreciated by the Police Depart- ment. Attached to this report is a complete breakdown of Police activities for month of May, 1966. • H. M. Dusenbery Chief of Police ^ VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA CIVIL L~FENSE Tequesta-Jupiter Civil Defense groups met at Tequesta Village Ha 11 on May 31, 1966 at 8:30 P.M. Three short films on Medical Self Help in disasters were shown. Dr. Stone elaborated and answered questions from audience pertaining to emergency treatments of wounds and burns. The Village of Tequesta was represented by Councilman Sylvester and the entire Police Department except for duty officer. Next joint Civil Defense Meeting is set for June 27th, at 8:30 P.M. It is further requested that the two adjacent street light either be lowered or shaded. Trey serve no useful purpose to this neigh- borhood. They are a direct disruption of sleeping habits. It is impossible to enjoy an evening on the patio with a light glaring in your face.
