HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_43-00/01_06/14/2001DRAFT RESOLUTION NO. 00 O1 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEA COUNTY, FLORIDA, CREATING AN AD H ADVISORY BOARD TO THE VILLAGE COUNCIL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CITIZENS ADVISOR BOARD; ESTABLISHING ITS PURPOS~ PROVIDING FOR ITS MAKEUP; AND ESTABLISHING THE TERM OF ITS EXISTENCE;) PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. r1 U • WHEREAS, it is important to Village Council th receive input from its residents relating t the concerns of the residents of the Village; andt~ WHEREAS, the Village Council is interested in ope and continuous communications between the Village C c and the residents of the Village; and WHEREAS, The Village Council feels that the appo' ment of Citizens Advisory Board will be of assistance the Village in accomplishing the goals of the Vi Council on behalf of its residents and maintaining good and open communications between the Village Council and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE QO OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLO AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Village Council hereby au orizes the formation of an ad hoc advisory board to e known as the Citizens Advisory Board. The specifi of said Board shall be to serve as an advisory oard to the Village Council on matters of interest relating to the Village. Section 2. The Citizens Advisory Board shall consist of members, all of whom shall be residents of the Village. Section 3. The Village Council shall appoint all members to the Citizens Advisory Board. r~ Section 4. The Citizens Advisory Board shall establish its own schedule for meetings and shall meet as often as the Board determines necessary or when requested by the Village Council to accomplish the purpose of advising the Village Council on matters of interest to the .Village Council and to the residents of the Village. Section 5. The Citizens Advisory Board shall remain in of of existence for a period of year(s) from the date its creation, unless the term is extended by action the Village Council. Section 6. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage. L_J THE FOREGOING motion was RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED who moved its seconded by and upon being put vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION by Councilmember adoption.
