HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_08-09_03/12/2009RESOLUTION NO. 8-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE REQUEST OF NANCY STEEL, TRUSTEE AND THE ROBERT M. STEEL TRUST TO RE-SPLIT LOT 77 INTO LOTS 77 AND 78 AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF TEQUESTA; PROVIDING THAT THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SHALL DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SAID LOT SPLIT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Lots 77 and 78 of the Plat of Tequesta, as depicted in Plat Book 25 Page 14 of the Public Records of Palm Beach County are currently considered one lot of record (Lot 77) by the Patm Beach County property Appraiser and Tax Collector; and WHEREAS, Nancy Steel, Trustee and the Robert M. Steel Trust ("Applicant"), owners of said lot, desire, and have applied to the Village to re-split said lot into Lots 77 and 78 as depicted on the Plat of Tequesta; and; WHEREAS, Chapter 66 of the Code of Ordinances of The Village of Tequesta requires that a request for a lot split be approved by the Village Council pursuant to the procedures for plat approval; and WHEREAS, the Applicant has complied with all requirements of Chapter 66 to effectuate a lot split of Lot 77 of the Plat of Tequesta into Lots 77 and 78, and the Village Council believes that approval said request will be in the best interests of the Village of Tequesta. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, a municipal corporation, hereby approves the request of Nancy Steel, Trustee and the Robert M. Steel Trust to re-split Lot 77 into Lots 77 and 78 as depicted on the Plat of Tequesta, recorded in Plat Book 25 Page 14 of the Public Records of Palm Beach County. Section 2: The Director of Community Development shall work with the Applicant to do all things necessary and appropriate to effectuate and finalize the requested lot split. 1 Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by Council. The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member Humpage who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Council Member Turnquest and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Mayor Pat Watkins Vice-Mayor Calvin Turnquest Council Member Vince Arena Council Member Tom Paterno Council Member Jim Humpage For Adoption Against Adoption X X X X X The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 12th day of March 2009.
