EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF MAJOR ISSUES: (This is a snap shot description of the agenda item) Per Village Ordinance, the Police Department is to elect a representative to serve on the Village's Pension Board. The representative must be a member of the Village's Pension Plan. A notice was posted on March 2, 2009 and Officer Cooper was the only eligible applicant. Notice of vacancy was posted with two interested inquires: David Cooper (current Trustee) and Sgt. Zed Albrecht. The Village's Pension Ordinance requires the Police and Fire Representatives to be members of the Village Pension Plan; Sgt. Albrecht is a member of FRS. Officer David Cooper's will renew his term of service beginning May 8, 2009 and the term will expire May 8, 2011. If you are interested in serving as a member of this Board, please submit a letter of interest to the Village Clerk's Office by Friday, March 13, 2009 at Noon.
