Per Village Ordinance, the Police Department is to elect a representative to serve on the Village's
Pension Board. The representative must be a member of the Village's Pension Plan. A notice was
posted on March 2, 2009 and Officer Cooper was the only eligible applicant. Officer Cooper has
served on the Pension Board for the past two years.

SUBJECT: Pension Board Member Officer David Cooper
Officer David Cooper applied and ran "unopposed" to serve as the Police
Department Representative on the Public Safety Pension Board. Notice of
vacancy was posted with two interested inquires: David Cooper (current
Trustee) and Sgt. Zed Albrecht. The Village's Pension Ordinance requires the
Police and Fire Representatives to be members of the Village Pension Plan; Sgt.
Albrecht is a member of FRS.
Officer David Cooper's will renew his term of service beginning May 8, 2009 and
the term will expire May 8, 2011.

ELECTION OF POLICE DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE
PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS' PENSION BOARD OF TRUSTEES
There is an opening on the Public Safety Officers' Pension Board of Trustees. If
you are interested in serving as a member of this Board, please submit a letter of
interest to the Village Clerk's Office by Friday, March 13, 2009 at Noon.
If more than one person submits their name, an election will be held by the
membership on Thursday, March 26, 2009. Your current representative is
Officer David Cooper.

Dear Officer Cooper:
The Village Council, during the April 9, 2009 Regular Council Meeting, accepted
your appointment as the Police Department Representative on the Public Safety
Pension Board. On behalf of the Council, we appreciate your willingness to
volunteer. The Trustee term is for two years and will expire on May 8, 2011.
As a Pension Board Member, you will need to continue to file your Form 1
Statement of Financial Disclosure each year in July. You will receive this form
from the State of Florida in mid-June. I suggest you certify mail it to:
