HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_72-01/02_08/08/2002• RESOLUTION NO. 72-01/02 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING A PROPOSAL WITH ANALYTICA HUMAN RESOURCES PERFORMANCE CONSULTANTS (HRPC) IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING A NEW EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SYSTEM FOR THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, WITH FUNDS BEING DERIVED FROM GENERAL FUND GENERAL GOVERNMENT, OTHER CONTRACTURAL SERVICES, FY- `~ 2001/2002. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUEESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Consideration to approve a proposal to Analytica in the amount of $9,000.00 for developing a new employee evaluation system with funds being derived from General Fund General Government, Other Contractural Services, FY 2001/2002, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference as part of this Resolution is hereby approved. . THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember von Frank, who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Resnik, and upon being put to vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Joseph N. Capretta Russell J. von Frank Edward D. Couzzo, Jr. Village Manager Village of Tequesta POB 3272 Tequesta,FL 33469-0273 Dear Mr. Couzzo: I am pleased to provide this proposal to develop a new evaluation system for the Village of Tequesta. This following steps would be involved in this process Step la: Iterative development of concept paper. In this step you and I would jointly develop a concept that would work for your town. I would provide an initial approach which we would then discuss and collaboratively • re-shape until we have an approach you believe would address your goals. Step 1b: Department Head interviews. Concurrent with step la, Mac will interview Department Heads to determine their perspectives on the evaluation system and how it could be improved. He will provide a report in time for you and I to integrate their perspectives into the concept paper. Step 2: Department Head Workshop. In this workshop we will review the approach and ensure Department Heads are prepared to implement it. This workshop will also identify as many issues as we can that could come up and develop response plans/statements for those issues. Step 3: Employee Communication. Mac will conduct a day of employee orientation to the new system. Our proposed fee for this project would be $9,000.00 based on the following task breakdown Step la: $3,000.00 Step 1b: $1,500.00 Step 2: $3,000.00 Step 3: $1,500.00 • Mac or I will contact you next week to determine if this proposal is acceptable.
