HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_63-99/00_06/08/2000• RESOLUTION NO. 63 - 99/00 • • A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE PROPOSED STORMWATER UTILITY FY 2001 NON-AD VALOREM EQUIVALENT RESIDENTIAL UNIT (ERU) ASSESSMENT RATES FOR FY 2001 APPLICABLE TO THE PROPERTIES WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSMITTAL OF THE SAME TO THE PROPERTY APPRAISER AND/OR TAX COLLECTOR OF PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT PURPOSES. WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village Council to adopt non-ad valorem assessments for all properties within the jurisdiction of the Village of Tequesta for FY 2001 in order to provide the revenues necessary to operate Tequesta's Stormwater Utility as authorized by Florida Statutes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Proposed Equivalent Residential Unit Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Rates are hereby Adopted for FY 2001 as follows: • Small Single Family Residence: > 1 s.f. and <= 2506 sq. ft. = 1 ERU x .65 x 12 mo. _ $53.20 plus 1% Tax Collector fee and 3.5% for early payment = $55.59 annually. • Medium Single Family Residence: >= 2507 s.f. and <= 4621 s.f. = 1 ERU x 12 mo. _ $81.84 plus 1% Tax Collector fee and 3.5% for early payment = $85.52 annually. • Large Single Family Residence: >= 4622 s.f.= 1 ERU x 1.30 x 12 mo. _ $106.39 plus to Tax Collector fee and 3.5% for early payment = $111.18 annually. Condominium Developments: 1 ERU x .67 x 12 mo. _ $54.83 plus 1% Tax Collector fee and 3.5% for early payment _ $57.30 per unit annually. • • Multi-family Development: 1 ERU x .84 x 12 mo. _ $68.75 plus 1% Tax Collector fee and 3.5o for early payment _ $71.84 per unit annually. • Commercial/Government/Industrial: Total impervious area/3576 s.f. x $6.82 x 12 mo. = annual payment plus 1% Tax Collector fee and 3.5% for early payment = annual payment. Section 2. The Acting Village Manager or her/his designee is authorized to transmit the hereinabove Adopted Stormwater Utility Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Rates for FY 2001 to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser and/or Palm Beach County Tax Collector for Assessment Purposes. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember Schauer who moved its adoption.
