The Honorable Mark Foley
Congressman

Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410
Dear Congressman Foley:
On behalf of the citizens of the Village of Tequesta, the Mayor and
Councilmembers, I am forwarding to you a formally adopted Resolution
Number 61-99/00. This Resolution states the desire of the Village of
Tequesta to have the Tequesta Branch Post Office designated as an
independent stand-alone facility (i.e. separate from the Jupiter Post
Office) in recognition of the Village of Tequesta as a unique community
• and growing, full-service municipality, and the pride and ownership
that we, as Tequestans, take in this distinction.
Additionally, as a result of the newly constructed, expanded post
office facility, the Tequesta Branch Post Office currently serves over
16,000 customers on a daily basis. This number is based not only on
the population of Tequesta, but also takes into account all local
businesses, Southern Martin County businesses and residents, Jupiter
Inlet Colony residents, and unincorporated Palm Beach County businesses
and residents which are serviced daily by this one facility.
As our Congressional Representative, please advise us of the next steps
that need to be taken to facilitate our desire to service our residents
by having the Tequesta Branch Post Office designated as a stand-alone
facility. As always, your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
~~
Joann Manganiello
