PUBLIC NOTICE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
The Planning and Zoning Board of the Village of Tequesta sitting as the Local Planning Agency will conduct a
Public Hearing in the Village Council Chambers at the Village Hall located at 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta,
Florida 33469 on October 17, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible and continuing from time to
time and place to place as necessary, to consider and make recommendations to the Village Council regarding
the following proposed ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO.25-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE VILLAGE
CODE OF ORDINANCES AT CHAPTER 78. ZONING. ARTICLE X. OFF-STREET AND ON-STREET PARKING AND
LOADING REGULATIONS, TO CREATE AN ENTIRELY NEW SECTION 78-707. ALTERNATIVES FOR MEETING
REQUIRED NUMBER OF PARKING SPACES. TO PROVIDE FOR OFF-SITE PARKING, SHARED PARKING AND
REDUCTION OF REQUIRED PARKING SPACES, AND TO PROVIDE REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR SAME;
ALSO CONFORMING EXISTING LANGUAGE IN THIS ARTICLE FOR INTERNAL CONSISTENCY; PROVIDING THAT EACH
AND EVERY OTHER SECTION AND SUBSECTION OF CHAPTER 78. ZONING. SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND
EFFECT AS PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND AUTHORITY
TO CODIFY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Immediately following the Local Planning Agency Public Hearing, the Planning and Zoning Board of the Village of
Tequesta will conduct a Public Hearing in the Village Council Chambers located at 345 Tequesta Drive,Tequesta,
Florida 33469, continuing from time to time and place to place as necessary, to act upon the following
development application(s):
SPM 8-19: Application from the LIGHTHOUSE ARTCENTER INC for a Site Plan Modification to build a
second floor addition of 7,564 square feet, and a 356 square feet roof area. The subject application
includes alteration of the existing first floor façade including wall colors and materials and upgrades to
the landscaping and parking area. The subject property is located at 373 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta,
Florida 33469.
VAR 04-19: Application from the PRESLEY FAMILY TRUST for a variance to allow the installation of a
privacy fence forward of the building front, where Sec. 78-284 of the Village Code prohibits fences from
being located forward of the adjacent or nearest portion of the building front. The address of the
property is 370 Riverside Drive,Tequesta, Florida, 33469.
SPM 9-19: Application from the PRESLEY FAMILY TRUST for a Site Plan Modification to install an entry
gate and two (2)6-foot entry columns per Sec. 78-284(b). The address of the property is 370 Riverside
Drive,Tequesta, Florida, 33469.
Related documents are available for inspection and copying in the office of the Village Clerk at the Village Hall,
Monday through Friday, during the normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Public Hearings may be
continued from time to time, as necessary. All interested persons are encouraged to come to the Public
Hearings and be heard.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Planning and Zoning Board or the Local Planning Agency
with respect to any matter considered at such meetings or hearings, he or she will need to ensure that a
verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record should include the testimony and evidence from
which the appeal is to be based. The Village of Tequesta does not provide such a record.
