HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_46-19_10/10/2019 RESOLUTION NO. 46-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING SIGNATORIES FOR VILLAGE DEPOSITORY ACCOUNTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Village's policies and procedures require at least two signatures from authorized employees for the issuance of Village checks and drafts, or to take other authorized actions related to Village accounts at banking and financial institutions; and WHEREAS, three individuals have been authorized to sign checks to facilitate continued operations in the absence of one of the approved signatories; and WHEREAS, Village staff is requesting to update the signatories to address staff changes and compliance with Village policies and procedures; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate signatories required to authorize said transactions in a timely and efficient manner; and WHEREAS, Village staff recommends authorizing the Village Manager and Village Finance Director to execute checks and drafts on behalf of the Village; and the Village Clerk to execute checks and drafts in the absence of the Village Manager or Village Finance Director or in emergency or exigent circumstances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, hereby authorizes the Village Manager and Village Finance Director to execute checks and drafts on behalf of the Village, and to take other authorized actions related to Village accounts at banking and financial institutions. Section 2: In the absence of the Village Manager or Village Finance Director or in emergency or exigent circumstances, the Village Council authorizes the Village Clerk to execute checks and drafts and to take other authorized actions related to Village accounts at banking and financial institutions. Section 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith shall be and hereby are repealed.
