SELECTION COMMITTEE MEETING
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FL
JUNE 18, 2020 9:00 AM VILLAGE HALL CONFERENCE
ROOM
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order by Village Clerk Lori McWilliams at 9:08 AM. A roll call was
taken by Village Clerk McWilliams.
Present were:
Tinoco, Chambers, Director of Public Works, Hammond, Utilities Director, Litteral, and Racanati,
Assistant Finance Director.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM CITIZENS
There were none.
AGENDA ITEMS
1. Evaluation and Ranking of Proposals
Each Committee Member gave their individual evaluation and ranking for each company,
in alphabetical order. They discussed the pros and cons of each company as related to
projects for the Village.
The group recessed at 11:13 AM and reconvened at 12:31 PM. Village Clerk McWilliams
received the scores from Committee Members and created a spreadsheet, with the top
6 companies highlighted.
2. Review Submitted RFQ's
The rankings were discussed and the Committee decided to move forward with the
following top scoring companies:

Village Clerk McWilliams would move forward with decline letters for those companies not
included in the top 9. Additionally, she would send letters to the 9 companies chosen to
move forward in the process. Lastly, she would communicate with Commitee Members on
scheduling the presentations.
Attorney Davis believed the proposed process going forward was legally sound. Standard
and open ended questions would be permitted during the presentations.
MOTION: Chambers, Director of Public Works made a motion to move forward to the
interview/selection phase with the top 9 ranked firms based on the comprehensive total;
Tinoco seconded the motion. Carried unanimously 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT
The Meeting was adjourned at 12:45 PM.
MOTION: Tinoco made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Chambers, Director of Public Works
seconded the motion. Carried unanimously 5-0.
