HomeMy WebLinkAboutHandouts_Workshop_01/08/2008Edition No. 121 ~TODDARD KIGK LIGAT~ Merry Christmas Frorn Alberta in Heaven Qur ~~1T~F~, ~F L~~F TO OUR BELOVED FAMILIES & FRIENDS --- Our family fondly remembers Alberta wearing her crimson velvet and pink gown. She was the belle of the ball at our Elm Grove Club formal dances. Welcome word has reached us that the Tequesta Council and Village Manager will meet with the memorial committee of three former Mayors -- Carlton Stoddazd, Elizabeth Schauer and Carl Hansen -- to finalize the proposed Tequesta Memorial honoring citizens who con- tributed so much to make Tequesta a community of serene beauty. Christmastime is a fitting period to recognize such gainful and memorable achievements by beloved residents of Tequesta. We have designed Golden Plaques easily affixed to marble panels at the spacious semi- circular portico extending our beautiful new Village Hall. Its neatly tiled roof covering the lazge semi-circle stage will provide cool shade for families to sit in a place of reverence and remembrance of their loved ones. We have created a Golden Plaque for Alberta, our "Angel of Love". Its words :glorify her great national fame -- Alberta Hoppe S~r;oddazd 1910 - 2002 National 4-H Health Champion State President of Iowa 4-H Girls We love her still and always will. Our esteemed Stoddazd Family Trustee, our eldest son Allan Michael Stoddard, has made severa1900-mile trips to Tequesta from his and wife Mary Lou's lovely home in Williamsburg, Va. He drove down here again for a happy 4-day visit with us the week following Thanksgiving. The picture of him above with a loving arm around his beloved mother Alberta tells more eloquently than words how reverently we remember her. We look forward with pleasure to Christmas week when our loved son Dr. Randall Roger Stoddard and wife Sarah will be flying from Hawaii to visit us. With our warmest love, Carlton & Taffy II ~~~~
