This money is used to help enforce boating laws and laws which protect the manatees. This money is awarded to the Tequesta Police Department by the Department of Environmental Resources Management. This additional award of $1,800.00 brings the total dollar amount awarded to the Tequesta Police Department to $18,460.00. Chief McGrew. - Palm Beach County Board of County On October 19, 2020, the Tequesta Police Department vas awarded up to Commissioners $16,660 from the Palm Beach County Manatee Protection Plan (MPP) Dare Kerner, Mayor funding for additional on -grater lave enforcement in the County's Waterways. Marino I am pleased to announce that the Tequesta Police Department will be reimbursed up to an additional $1, 800 for this effort, for a total award of Gregg K. Weiss up to $18,460. RESOLUTION NO. 12-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, INCREASING REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES IN THE GENERAL FUND #001 2020/2021 BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,800.00 RECOGNIZING ADDITIONAL REVENUES FROM PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR MANATEE PATROL SERVICES AS WELL AS RECOGNIZING RELATED OVERTIME EXPENDITURES AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROCEED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VILLAGE'S ADOPTED PROCEDURES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Village currently has a contract with Palm Beach County to provide manatee patrol services in the amount of $16,660.00; and, WHEREAS, Palm Beach County is increasing their contract with the Village of Tequesta for an additional $1,800.00; and, WHEREAS, the Village incurs overtime expenditures for the manatee patrol services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Resolution No. 12-21 is hereby approved increasing revenues and expenditures in the General Fund #001 2020/2021 Budget in the amount of $1,800.00 recognizing additional revenues from Palm Beach County for manatee patrol services as well as recognizing related overtime expenditures.
